Yoga Instructor Veronique Ory, an Intuitive Movement and Mindful Awareness Guide is excited to announce a collaborative wellness series with the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) in Vero Beach. This transformative journey, inspired by Veronique’s book “Shine On & Off the Mat,” aims to connect individuals with nature and foster well-being.
Following a successful collaboration with ELC’s “The Magic of Trees” art series, Veronique introduces a monthly series exploring the elements – water, air, fire, and earth. Each session features themed stories from her book, enhancing the connection between nature and personal development. “Shine On & Off the Mat” is available at the ELC Nature Nook.
WATER: Thursday, January 25th, 2024, 3:30-6 pm Dive into the element of water, exploring the theme of connection. Through a serene pontoon boat tour, we’ll reflect on the ebb and flow of relationships, inviting a deeper sense of connection within and with the world around us. We will align with the fluidity of water, fostering a harmonious union with ourselves and nature. AIR: Thursday, February 15, 2024, 4-5 pm Elevate your spirit with heart-centered yoga, embracing the element of air. In this session, we’ll explore the theme of sparking inspiration. Through breath-focused practices and expansive heart-opening postures, tap into the creative energy within. Allow the breezy flow of air to ignite inspiration and invigorate your being.

FIRE: Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, 3:30 pm-4:30 pm Join a fire ceremony in collaboration with the Orchid Island Art Show. Ignite passion and transformation through meditation practices inspired by the theme of a fearless heart. Embrace the transformative power of fire as we delve into practices, releasing fears and stepping boldly into our authentic selves.
EARTH: Monday, April 22, 2024, 4-5 pm Celebrate Earth Day with a walking meditation, grounding practices, and reflections on our connection to the earth. In this session focused on the element of earth, we’ll explore grounding themes. Through nature-inspired yoga practices, connect with the stability and support the earth provides. Find balance, stability, and a deeper sense of rootedness.
Participants can expect a holistic wellness experience, seamlessly blending yoga, nature exploration, and self-discovery. Veronique invites the community to join these immersive events, fostering a deeper connection with the environment and the self. Veronique Ory, a certified yoga instructor with over 500 hours of training, blends curated storytelling and creative movement to guide individuals toward vibrant well-being. Her unique book, “Shine On & Off the Mat,” synchronizes storytelling, playlists, on-demand classes, mindfulness exercises, and captivating photos, offering a supported self-paced yoga journey.
The Environmental Learning Center’s mission is to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to become active stewards of the environment and their own well-being. Situated on a pristine 64-acre island in the Indian River Lagoon, ELC offers immersive educational programs and eco-adventures, emphasizing the rich biodiversity of the region. The ELC is open seven days a week and located at the western foot of the Wabasso Bridge Indian River County at 255 Live Oak Drive. The nonprofit nature center is a destination for kayaking, walking trails, pontoon boat eco-tours, and wellness programs. Admission is $10 for Ages 12 and up and $5 for children 2-11 years old.
