Ballet VB announces: New Classics

arts & entertainment

Ballet Vero Beach’s 2023-2024 Season comes to a close with two sweeping works that have rapidly become new classics. French choreographer Yves de Bouteiller’s supremely allegorical West Side Story Suite finally arrives, and our own The Sleeping Princess returns to the main stage for the first time since its 2021 premiere.

Full performances are slated for 7:30pm on April 19 and 2:00pm and 7:30pm on April 20. The Accessible/Family Friendly Series performance for this production of The Sleeping Princess will take place on April 21 at 2:00pm.

Accessible/Family Friendly Series performances feature modified audio and visual effects and increased accessible seating and sections for those who might not be able to remain seated throughout the performance. Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to be the only arts organization in the area to offer a fully Accessible/Family Friendly Series that offers professional-level arts experiences to underserved segments of our community. All tickets for this series are subsidized at $10, thanks to the generosity of Ballet Vero Beach’s many funders and donors.

All performances will take place at the VBHS Performing Arts Center, and watch at Home archival film access will be available for this program. Tickets and more information can be found at balletverobeach.org or by calling the company at 772-269-1065.
