Ballet Vero Beach in partnership with Riverside Theatre announce:

Riverside Dance Festival: A Celebration Performances are Friday, May 17, 7:30pm & Saturday, May 18, 2pm on the Stark Stage at Riverside Theatre. Join Ballet Vero Beach and Riverside Theatre in a celebration of bringing ten brilliant professional dance companies to Vero Beach during the Riverside Dance Festival over the years. All companies still at full operating capacity are scheduled to appear for this special event on May 17 and 18 at Riverside Theatre. Performing companies include: Ariel Rivka Dance, Ballet Vero Beach, Chicago Dance Crash, Chicago Repertory Ballet, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami, konverjdans & Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre.

VBMA presents Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip: Photographs by Robert Landau Exhibition Opening May 18 – September 1. Be transported to Los Angeles’ celebrated Sunset Strip of the late 1960s and 70s and immerse yourself in rock and roll nostalgia when the Vero Beach Museum of Art opens its summer exhibition Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip: Photographs by Robert Landau, on view in the Holmes Gallery.

Vero Beach Theatre Guild presents You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts bunch explore life’s great questions as they play baseball, struggle with homework, sing songs, swoon over their crushes, and celebrate the joy of friendship. A darling feel-good show, this is a great night out for everyone!

Treasure Coast Chorale Season Closer My Favorite Things: A Birthday Concert on May 19, 4pm at First Baptist Church, Vero Beach. As the Treasure Coast Chorale closes its 22nd season with My Favorite Things – A Birthday Concert, celebrating the director’s birthday along with yours! Come enjoy many crowd-pleasing favorites such as Cabaret, The Impossible Dream,  The Phantom of the Opera, and Let It Go. Accompanying the Chorale will be musical artists Judy Carter (piano), Dave Mundy (guitar), and Richie Mola (drums). Special guests will be: The Dolls, The Festival Brass Ensemble, the Carillon Handbell Choir, and the Carter Family Singers.

Gallery 14 welcomes marine life artist Mitch Gubnitsky. Mitch will showcase his bright, imaginative and captivating images of nature, with special focus on sea life. This colorful, intriguing exhibit will run through May 24. Growing up in South Florida, Mitch learned to appreciate all the natural beauty the state has to offer. According to Mitch: “I have been interested in art since childhood and eventually combined the occupation of travel nursing with painting. The job experience allowed me to explore diverse cultures and art forms, as I was exposed to different environments, climates and wildlife. As a certified diver, I have been face to face with manatees, sea turtles, manta rays and spectacular creatures of the sea represented in my art.”

Artists Guild Gallery is a fine-art gallery featuring original art by local artist-owners. Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County On Exhibit Indian River County Administration Buildings A & B. Color in Context Artists Members Exhibit, on view through June 20, featured artists: Jen Berlin, Tony Caruso, John McAleer and Gwen McNenney.

The A.E. Backus Museum and Gallery is pleased once more to present the popular juried photography competition Through the Eye of the Camera. This year’s exhibition features 81 of the year’s best photographs drawn from professional and amateur photographers. Through the Eye of the Camera will be on view through June 21 at 500 North Indian River Drive in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce. 

Art at The Emerson offers Our Wondrous Planet Exhibit featuring Environmental Art. On view though June 27. Experience art and environmental discovery at the highly anticipated ‘Our Wondrous Planet Exhibition,’ featuring the traveling showcase ‘World of Away’ Eco-Art Experience, alongside masterpieces by local artists. Explore innovative artworks promoting sustainable living and environmental stewardship.

Spring Art Show Galleries at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach

The work of three standout artists will be displayed in galleries throughout the church campus for the duration of the show. Visitors can enjoy free refreshments as they peruse the work of Leslie Jordan, Barbara Desrosiers and Suzanne Roff.
