Space Coast Symphony Orchestra concludes their 15th Anniversary Season, ending it in a big way: the group will assemble 130 musicians onstage for their 15th Anniversary Celebration concert on May 26, 3pm. The powerful program at the Vero Beach Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street, will feature celebratory works by Tchaikovsky, Marquez and Marshall, along with a world premiere of a work from composer Kevin Wilt.

The concert opens with Christopher Marshall’s Samoa-inspired “Aue!,” originally commissioned for the orchestra’s 10th Anniversary.  The audience will also hear Marquez’s “Conga del Fuego,” a short work of fiery musical color.

Jazz musicians toot their horn in Vero Beach as First Presbyterian hosts Jazz Quartet Concert on May 26, 4pm.  Get ready, jazz lovers! First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach will host a jazz concert . Long known for its musical outreach, the church at 520 Royal Palm Boulevard will be contributing the talents of its Director of Music, Dr. Jacob Craig to an all-star Jazz Quartet. Craig will perform on jazz piano, with Miami Dade College professor Claudio Osorio on trumpet. The quartet also includes retired Los Angeles percussionist, Tony Miranda, who played with Madonna and Neil Diamond, along with Indian River Charter High School teacher, Dave Mundy on bass. The concert centerpiece is Claude Bolling’s Toot Suite for trumpet and jazz piano.

On June 1 Luna Pearl plays your favorite cover tunes.

The A.E. Backus Museum and Gallery is pleased once more to present the popular juried photography competition Through the Eye of the Camera. This year’s exhibition features 81 of the year’s best photographs drawn from professional and amateur photographers. Through the Eye of the Camera will be on view through June 21 at 500 North Indian River Drive in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce.

Spring Art Show Galleries at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach
