Sunny Florida was at its best when The Source’s Inaugural Dignity Wellness Health & Wellness Fair was held on April 29 to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month that began on May 1. The community enjoyed a wonderful self-care and informative day when Vero Beach’s Pathway Church opened their doors and property for the event.
“We were so encouraged by the response from the community for this event and look forward to partnering with other health organizations for 2025,” stated Charlene Morris, LMHC, MCAP, and Director of Mental Health Services for The Source. “Health is all about mind, body and soul, and that is our focus.”
Children enjoyed Maximum Velocity’s gymnastic presentation, Sheriff’s K-9 demonstration, a scavenger hunt and the bounce houses. Families received interactive presentations on Nutrition from Treasure Coast Food Bank, Diabetes Prevention from Whole Family Health, Jeff Phyall educated everyone on how to perform basic CPR and use an AED Machine, while DoTerra Oils gave everyone helpful health solutions.
Some of the vendors and participants included Veterans Administration, Women’s Refuse, Cleveland Clinic, Indian River Health Department, Herbal Connect, VNA, Youth Guidance, Nutrition Smart, Crunchi Makeup, IThink Financial, CareNet, Community Emergency Response Team and Life Wave.
