E-Series Speaker: Larry Lawson with Indian River Hauntings

Larry Lawson explores the haunted history of Indian River County, revealing its eerie past and the mysteries behind local paranormal phenomena.

October 29, 7pm at The Emerson Center.

Gallery 14 is excited to continue their new season with a unique duo show featuring popular artists Jane Johnson and John Streeter.   The exhibit entitled: MEMORIES OF NATURE AND PORTRAITS TO NATURE  will  run October 29 – November 29.  

There will a First Friday Gallery Stroll reception on November 1, 5-8pm. 

VBMA Museum Stories: 0-23 Month Olds

October 30, 9:30 – 10:30am. A theme-based, participatory program for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers that includes reading books, singing songs, dancing, and creating art together. Takes place in the Art Zone.

Anything Goes Exhibition at Art at the Emerson Gallery: An Array of Open Expression Where All Mediums Collide . On view October 31 – December  30. Meet the Artists Reception November  6, 5:30 – 7pm. This event showcases a diverse range of works from local artists across all mediums, from painting and sculpture to digital art and mixed media. Featuring a broad spectrum of styles and techniques, the exhibition highlights the boundless possibilities of artistic expression, inviting viewers to engage with the raw, unfiltered creativity of the artists.

October 31,  6:30 – 8:30pm Spend an evening with friends in the VBMA Art School studios! Instructors Barry Shapiro and Camy De Mario lead participants step-by-step as they complete original artworks. Riverside Theatre presents A Fox on the Fairway By Ken Ludwig. Performances run through November 10. A tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, Ken Ludwig’s The Fox On the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp with members of the Quail Valley Country Club. Filled with mistaken identities and over-the-top antics, this madcap comedy deals with love, life, and man’s eternal infatuation with…golf.

Experience the World of Glass Art Creation at the Roadside Reverie: Glass Works by John Miller at the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA). Delight in more than 40 larger-than-life glass sculptures—from oversized hamburgers to hood ornaments—spanning four of Miller’s artistic series: “Hot Stuff,” “The Blue Plate Special,” “Do Not Duplicate,” and “Classic Heat.” Those interested in an in-depth discussion about the works and the artists can join Museum docents at 2pm for a guided gallery tour.
