news release
On Sunday, November 3, 2024, Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH) will host the 12th annual Great Duck Derby fundraiser supporting women and children in Indian River County. Join us from 12pm to 4pm at Captain Hiram’s Resort in Sebastian, FL for festivities, a 50/50 raffle, live music, and the duck races.
The Great Duck Derby allows TCCH to provide health care for women and children in Indian River County for those who could otherwise not afford it. All the proceeds benefit over 50% of TCCH patients living with financial hardships. The Duck Derby turns as little as $5 into eye exams, flu shots, mental health visits, mammograms, and cancer screenings.
For the race, TCCH launches 5,000 rubber ducks into the Indian River Lagoon while the crowd cheers for their duck to cross the finish line. The three fastest swimmers earn $2,000, $1000, or $500. This year, TCCH will feature a corporate duck race, allowing businesses to get in on the fun.
The community can adopt ducks at thegreatduckderby.com or contact Dennis at dbartholomew@tcchinc.org
