Enjoy the tastes of cultural history and the family stories inspired by food memories on Tuesday, November 12 at the free monthly public program, Food & Family presented by the Indian River Genealogical Society, IRGS. Part of the IRGS fall series, “Creating Your Legacy, Food & Family” will be held at the Main Library, Vero Beach from 10:30 am.-12:30 pm. All are welcome.

Members will share the inspiration and deep relationship found between food and family. Recipes and samples of a variety of Swedish, Italian, Jewish, and other ethnic sweets will be accompanied by stories of the ancestors who passed along the recipe and created a family tradition. Learn new ways to share your stories and recipes with family and friends. Members and guests are invited to bring samples of their family sweets and are encouraged to share a favorite family food memory-past or present.IRGS holds free public programs monthly September-May.
