The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce-Economic Development Office is excited to announce that Treasure Coast Diagnostic Lab, Inc. was approved for the county’s Local Jobs Grant incentive. Treasure Coast Diagnostic provides mobile and in-house diagnostic testing such as routine blood work, specialized diagnostic panels, and therapeutic drug monitoring. The company began operations in 2023 and located to Vero Beach in 2024. In a unanimous decision, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved Treasure Coast Diagnostics’ request for a Local Jobs Grant incentive. The company anticipates hiring seven new employees over the next 18 months, at salary levels equal to the county’s average annual wage of $54,317. Based on wage levels, county staff determined that the company is eligible for a Local Jobs Grant in the amount of up to $27,000. The grant funds will be paid over a two-year period, beginning a year after the jobs are in place.
Using IMPLAN software, FL Power & Light’s Economic Development Office provided data to calculate the company’s estimated economic impact at nearly $1.5 million. This includes a capital investment of over $213,000, and $350,300 in new paychecks circulating annually in our local economy. Medical diagnostics is a targeted industry for Indian River County and the State of Florida.
“We would like to sincerely thank the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, and the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce Economic Development office, for entrusting Treasure Coast Diagnostic Laboratory with the community’s laboratory needs”, states Mr. Rondy Louissaint, who is the company’s co-owner with his wife, Raquel. “Being approved for the Jobs Grant is a tremendous honor, and we are deeply grateful for this opportunity. We are excited and fully committed to serving the community with excellence, dedication, and care!” The Chamber’s Economic Development Office worked closely with the company and facilitated the application, working with staff in the county’s Planning Department. “We are excited to have Treasure Coast Diagnostics be a part of our growing medical community,” notes Commission Chairman Joe Flescher. “Providing full-time jobs with a solid pay scale, and the owners’ commitment to quality care, our residents are fortunate to have a company like this offering such flexibility in basic healthcare options.” For more information on locating or expanding a business in Indian River County, call Helene Caseltine, Economic Development Vice President with the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, 772-567-3491 or visit http://www.indianrivered.com.
