Form + Fire opens Mar 7 at Raw Space Gallery

Indian River Clay’s 2025 Form + Fire, a prestigious exhibition showcasing contemporary ceramic artwork, will run from March 7 to March 21 at Raw Space Gallery.

This highly anticipated event will celebrate the creativity, innovation, and artistry of 65 ceramic artists and over 80 pieces of their work. The exhibition will feature clay in a variety of forms, including functional, sculptural, decorative, and experimental ceramic pieces, with the requirement that clay serves as the primary material.

There were 158 applications from ceramic artists from Florida, Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Nebraska, Texas and Virginia.

The exhibit opens to the public with an artists’ reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 7 at Raw Space Gallery, 1795 Old Dixie Highway, Vero Beach.

JURIED ART SHOW

Bruce Helander was the judge for the 2025 Form + Fire. He is an internationally recognized artist-critic-curator based in Wellington, Fla. His specialty is collage and assemblage; and his work is in more than 50 museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

He has a master’s degree in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is a fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts.  He has juried over 1,000 events for museums, including the Smithsonian and the Philadelphia Museum and many gallery and art center exhibitions.
