United Way of Indian River County, in partnership with Communications International and the City of Vero Beach, proudly unveiled a new Born Learning Trail at Jaycee Park, offering families an interactive educational experience. This trail, the 7th in Indian River County, is designed to engage parents, grandparents, and caregivers in fun learning activities with children. A few weeks ago, employees from Communications International enthusiastically joined the effort, bringing their creativity to life by designing and painting the trail’s interactive signs.

Born Learning Trails are a nationwide initiative, with over 750 locations across the U.S. The trail at Jaycee Park joins others in Pocohontas Park, McAnsh Neighborhood, South County, Gifford, Sebastian, and Fellsmere. Each trail features 10 engaging signs, with both English and Spanish instructions, that help turn everyday moments into valuable learning opportunities for families.

“We’re thrilled to add this new Born Learning Trail to our community, generously sponsored by Communications International,” said Meredith Egan, Chief Executive Officer at United Way of Indian River County. “This initiative is an important part of our ongoing efforts to improve literacy and education, supporting the Moonshot Moment goal to make Vero Beach the literacy capital of the nation.”

The event was attended by local leaders, including Laura Moss, County Commissioner, and John Cotugno, Vero Beach Mayor, Ryan Butler, Clerk of the Circuit Court, and the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, alongside representatives from Communications International: Pam Darby, Michelle Butler, and Matthew Martin.
