Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in conjunction with Mandy and Ray Hooker invite you to a viewing at Indian River Distillery, 3308 Aviation Blvd. in Vero Beach.  Exhibit Theme: “Old Florida” on view through May 29.  Featured Artists include Judy Burgarella, Merana Cadorette and Mary Carter.

Vero Beach Art Club offers 74th Annual Under the Oaks on Mar. 8, 9am – 5pm & Mar. 9, 9am – 5pm in Riverside Park. 74th Annual Under The Oaks Fine Art & Craft Show, voted #8 in the U.S. by Sunshine Artist Magazine in 2023, featuring more than 200 nationwide artists in beautiful, tree-lined Riverside Park.

Environmental Learning Center offers A Force of Nature: Lecture & Workshop on Mar. 8, 1 p.m. A 45-minute lecture based on the book, A Force of Nature, that focuses on practical ways to rekindle your connection with the earth. The workshop that follows dives deeper into the connection between sensory awareness and creative expression.

The Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce offers Sunset Saturday Concert on Mar. 8, 5 p.m. Concert on Ocean Dr at Humiston Park. Bring a chair Leave the cooler at home.

Riverside Theatre offers Live in the Loop on Mar. 8, Mar. 13, Mar. 14, Mar. 15, 5:30 p.m. Riverside Theatre’s FREE outdoor music venue with local musicians playing Thurs., Fri. and Sat. evenings. Bands TBD

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County on exhibit Indian River County Administration Buildings A and B. “Bring on the Cheer” is the theme. Featured Artists include Ella Chabot, Tony Caruso, Darryl Remole, Pat Willis, Janet Grossarth. On view through March 13.

Laura Riding Jackson Foundation offers Historic Home Tours on Mar. 11, 1 p.m. Laura Riding Jackson’s historic home is open for tours from November through April each year. We can accommodate groups of 8 or fewer as drop-ins; to bring a larger group for a tour, please reserve in advance.

Art at the Emerson Gallery offers Celebrating Women’s Art Exhibition Mar. 6 – Apr. 2. Showcasing artwork from members of the American Association of University Women in recognition of Women’s History Month. A special “Meet the Artists” reception will take place on Wednesday, March 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., providing an opportunity to engage with the artists and appreciate their contributions to the art community.

The Emerson Center offers Extreme Survival: Michael J. Tougias on Mar. 11, 7 p.m. Prepare to be captivated by true stories of resilience and bravery as author and survival expert Michael J. Tougias, known for his bestsellers The Finest Hours and A Storm Too Soon, presents “Extreme Survival,” an unforgettable evening that delves into some of the most harrowing survival stories at sea and on land. In this riveting lecture, Tougias will recount real-life tales of individuals who faced unimaginable challenges and lived to tell the tale.

Riverside Theatre offers Singin’ in the Rain Feb. 25, through Mar. 21 – Show times vary. The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay. Filled with every memorable moment from the film and a downpour of unforgettable songs “Singin’ in the Rain” is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Live from Vero Beach offers Tusk The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute on Mar. 13, 7 p.m. at the Emerson Center.

Chamber Society of Lincoln Center offers Schubert’s Trout Quintet on Mar. 13, 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach. Schubert’s Trout Quintet not only demonstrates his genius for melody and lyricism, but also features a distinct combination of instruments: only one violin and the addition of double bass.

McKee Botanical Garden offers Sean Kenney’s Nature Pop!® Made with LEGO® bricks Exhibition on view through 5/4. Featuring 40 sculptures made with over 800,000 LEGO; Bricks and explores the beauty of nature through contemporary, stylized, and colorful displays that stand in striking contrast with their surroundings.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950 on view through June 22.  This winter, the internationally touring French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950, makes its first-ever stop in southeast Florida at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.

The exhibition showcases 59 artworks from the Brooklyn Museum’s esteemed collection of European art, spanning the era between the Revolution of 1848 and the conclusion of World War II-a period marked by significant social, intellectual, and political upheaval in France.  The exhibition highlights the avant-garde movements that shaped modern art in the 19th and 20th centuries, featuring works by renowned artists native to France, as well as those who studied and exhibited there.

Pelican Island Conservation Society offers Fireside chat with President Theodore Roosevelt on Mar. 14, 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center in Vero Beach. The Pelican Island Conservation Society will celebrate the 122nd anniversary of the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge the weekend of March 14-16, 2025. President Roosevelt will join the festivities throughout the weekend at the Refuge to meet and greet everyone. Please join us, along with other environmental and history groups, as we celebrate Pelican Island as our nation’s first National Wildlife Refuge.

Indian River Symphonic Association offers Brevard Symphony Orchestra on Mar. 14, 7:30 p.m. at the Community Church of Vero Beach. Program: Georg Frideric Handel/Hamilton Harty – Royal Fireworks Music; Tomaso Albinoni/Remo Giazotto – Adagio; Patrick Brill – Royal Coronation Overture (World Premiere); Camille Saint-Saens – Symphony No. 3 “Organ”

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography.  Exhibition runs through 8/31.  Robert Farber’s professional practice spans commercial and fine art photography, with subject matter ranging from fashion and portraits to still life and landscapes. The works featured in Timeless are drawn from two major bodies of work: his Vintage Fashion series, captured during commercial shoots, and the Deterioration series, which consists of prints from his earlier fashion photography.

Center for Spiritual Care offers Jill Kerwick: New Works on exhibit through Mar. 28.  The Jill Kerwick: New Works exhibit is back by popular demand and on view during the month of March.

Cowboy Elixers – 1

Ballet Vero Beach offers Latines on Mar. 14, 7:30 p.m. & Mar. 15, 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. Yanis Eric Pikieris presents his second work for the company. Long time company collaborator (and former Ballet Vero Beach Dancer) Chloe Watson uses memories of family dinners with her grandfather as the jumping off point for her contribution to the mix. And of course, we could not miss the opportunity to add an exciting world premiere by Ballet Master and Principal Dancer Camilo A. Rodriguez.

Ballet Vero Beach offers Firebird (Accessible and Family Friendly Series) on Mar. 16, 2 p.m. at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. Performances may include modified audio/visual effects and venue setup that meets the needs of all attendees. Life is full of transformation in this extra special hour-long performance that will take audience members on a journey from classroom to fantasy world and back again.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach through May 8. Deutilization Conceptualism: The Evolution Of Meaning Beyond Function is a solo art exhibit by Viktor Genel.
