Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in conjunction with Mandy and Ray Hooker invite you to a viewing at Indian River Distillery, 3308 Aviation Blvd. in Vero Beach. Exhibit Theme: “Old Florida” on view through May 29. Featured Artists include Judy Burgarella, Merana Cadorette and Mary Carter.
North Indian River County Library offers French Conversation Classes on Mar. 15, 1:30 p.m. This is an informal meeting for French speakers of all levels to practice and enhance their conversational abilities. Please note, this is not for beginners, but rather an opportunity for those with prior French language experience to connect and converse. No registration required to attend. Free.
Pelican Island Conservation Society offers the 122nd anniversary of the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge the weekend of March 14-16, 2025. President Roosevelt will join the festivities throughout the weekend at the Refuge to meet and greet everyone. Please join us, along with other environmental and history groups, as we celebrate Pelican Island as our nation’s first National Wildlife Refuge.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers The Sounds They Loved: Musical Connections to French Moderns: Monet to Matisse 1850-1950 on Mar. 20, 5 p.m. and Mar. 22, 2:30 p.m. & 4 p.m. Pianist Leslie Amper returns to the Vero Beach Museum of Art for a unique multimedia performance, offering insights into the profound musical influences on the artists featured in the exhibition French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950.

Ballet Vero Beach offers Latines on Mar. 15, 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. Yanis Eric Pikieris presents his second work for the company. Long time company collaborator (and former Ballet Vero Beach Dancer) Chloe Watson uses memories of family dinners with her grandfather as the jumping off point for her contribution to the mix. And of course, we could not miss the opportunity to add an exciting world premiere by Ballet Master and Principal Dancer Camilo A. Rodriguez.
Ballet Vero Beach offers Firebird (Accessible and Family Friendly Series) on Mar. 16, 2 p.m. at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. Performances may include modified audio/visual effects and venue setup that meets the needs of all attendees. Life is full of transformation in this extra special hour-long performance that will take audience members on a journey from classroom to fantasy world and back again.

Vero Beach Art Club offers Veterans Art Classes on Mar. 20, 6 p.m. We are meeting monthly with local Veterans interested in learning how to paint, draw, and use art as a form of therapy. Riverside Theatre offers Singin’ in the Rain Feb. 25, through Mar. 21 – Show times vary. The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay. Filled with every memorable moment from the film and a downpour of unforgettable songs “Singin’ in the Rain” is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

McKee Botanical Garden offers Sean Kenney’s Nature Pop!® Made with LEGO® bricks Exhibition on view through 5/4. Featuring 40 sculptures made with over 800,000 LEGO; Bricks and explores the beauty of nature through contemporary, stylized, and colorful displays that stand in striking contrast with their surroundings.
Vero Beach Museum of Art offers French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950 on view through June 22. This winter, the internationally touring French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950, makes its first-ever stop in southeast Florida at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
The exhibition showcases 59 artworks from the Brooklyn Museum’s esteemed collection of European art, spanning the era between the Revolution of 1848 and the conclusion of World War II-a period marked by significant social, intellectual, and political upheaval in France. The exhibition highlights the avant-garde movements that shaped modern art in the 19th and 20th centuries, featuring works by renowned artists native to France, as well as those who studied and exhibited there.
Laura Riding Jackson Foundation offers AWW: Adapted Screenplay on Mar. 22, 9:30 a.m. Registration Required Led by Xaque Gruber, participants in this ADULT WRITERS WORKSHOP will learn the fundamentals of screenwriting, with a particular focus on adapting your already-completed stories, essays, memoirs, etc. for the screen. Participants will write, share, and receive feedback.
Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography. Exhibition runs through 8/31. Robert Farber’s professional practice spans commercial and fine art photography, with subject matter ranging from fashion and portraits to still life and landscapes. The works featured in Timeless are drawn from two major bodies of work: his Vintage Fashion series, captured during commercial shoots, and the Deterioration series, which consists of prints from his earlier fashion photography.

AAUW of Vero Beach offers “I Dissent” – A Powerful One-Woman Show Celebrates the Legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Mar. 22, 1 p.m. at the Emerson Center. In a one-time-only performance “I Dissent” captures the essence of Ginsburg’s tenacity, brilliance, and relentless pursuit of justice. From her early struggles as a woman in a male-dominated legal field to her rise as a cultural icon and feminist icon, this play is a powerful tribute to RBG’s enduring legacy.
Center for Spiritual Care offers Jill Kerwick: New Works on exhibit through Mar. 28. The Jill Kerwick: New Works exhibit is back by popular demand and on view during the month of March.

Laura Riding Jackson Foundation offers Historic Home Tours on Mar. 18, 1 p.m. Laura Riding Jackson’s historic home is open for tours from November through April each year. We can accommodate groups of 8 or fewer as drop-ins; to bring a larger group for a tour, please reserve in advance.
