Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in conjunction with Mandy and Ray Hooker invite you to a viewing at Indian River Distillery, 3308 Aviation Blvd. in Vero Beach.  Exhibit Theme: “Old Florida” on view through May 29.  Featured Artists include Judy Burgarella, Merana Cadorette and Mary Carter.

McKee Botanical Garden offers Sean Kenney’s Nature Pop!® Made with LEGO® bricks Exhibition on view through 5/4. Featuring 40 sculptures made with over 800,000 LEGO; Bricks and explores the beauty of nature through contemporary, stylized, and colorful displays that stand in striking contrast with their surroundings.

Riverside Theatre offers Every Brilliant Thing through Apr. 13, show times vary.  A boy’s handwritten list to cheer up his despondent mom becomes a surprisingly funny and poignant ode to humanity. Based on true and untrue stories, Duncan MacMillan’s Every Brilliant Thing takes audiences on a sublime and tender coming-of-age journey that reminds us to pay attention to life’s smallest joys— and to each other.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16^th Avenue, Vero Beach through May 8. Deutilization Conceptualism: The Evolution of Meaning Beyond Function is a solo art exhibit by Viktor Genel.

Environmental Learning Center offers Guided Kayak Excursions on Apr. 12 @ 9 a.m. Join a trained nature guide and paddle the serene waters of the Indian River Lagoon exploring this unique ecosystem with abundant wildlife and hidden mangrove tunnels! All gear provided.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Children’s Art Festival on Apr. 12, 10 a.m.  This FREE, all-ages event is the Museum’s annual celebration of the arts and art making. Attendees will enjoy art-making activities, music and dance performances, food trucks, art hunts, docent-led tours of the galleries, and free admission to the museum’s galleries.

Ballet Vero Beach offers Choreographers Notebook on Apr. 12, 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. The 12th Season draws to a close as so many have, with laughter bringing down the house. The company is thrilled to present a full program of works by the godfather of comedy ballet, Peter Anastos. From a troupe of bonkers pirates, to a cadre of frustrated ballerinas, to an absolutely dismal ballet school full of untalented little darlings, Anastos’s works have helped defined Ballet Vero Beach’s signature comic timing. Don’t miss your chance to see La Trovatiara Pas De Cinq, Go For Barocco, and Ecole de Ballet all on one bill!

Pelican Island Audubon Society offers Starry Night 60^th Anniversary Gala on Apr. 12, 6 p.m. Guest Speaker: Eve Samples; Music by: Low Ground. Live & Silent Auction, Champagne Toast to Celebrate Our Accomplishments, Food by: Wild Thyme. Door Prizes!

Ballet Vero Beach offers The Sleeping Princess on Apr. 13, 2 p.m. at the VBHS Performing Arts Center. Accessible and Family Friendly Series. These extra special hour-long performances are specifically geared to the needs of the differently abled individuals of our community and also young children. Performances may include modified audio/visual effects and venue setup that meets the needs of all attendees. Performances may include Q&A sessions.

Center for Spiritual Care offers Ceramics Invitational on view through Apr. 30.  Exhibit by 6 talented local artists who display their beautiful ceramics. The artists include: Walford Campbell, Sean & Sharon Sexton, Maria Sparsis, Ginnie Peach Street and Glenda Taylor.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950 on view through June 22.  This winter, the internationally touring French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950, makes its first-ever stop in southeast Florida at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.

The exhibition showcases 59 artworks from the Brooklyn Museum’s esteemed collection of European art, spanning the era between the Revolution of 1848 and the conclusion of World War II-a period marked by significant social, intellectual, and political upheaval in France.  The exhibition highlights the avant-garde movements that shaped modern art in the 19th and 20th centuries, featuring works by renowned artists native to France, as well as those who studied and exhibited there.

Laura Riding Jackson Foundation offers Historic Home Tours on Apr. 15, 1 p.m. Laura Riding Jackson’s historic home is open for tours. You can drop by and our amazing volunteer docents will give you a tour! We can accommodate groups of 8 or fewer as drop-ins; to bring a larger group for a tour, please reserve in advance.

Riverside Theatre offers Beautiful Apr. 15 through May 11, showtimes vary. Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography.  Exhibition runs through 8/31.  Robert Farber’s professional practice spans commercial and fine art photography, with subject matter ranging from fashion and portraits to still life and landscapes. The works featured in Timeless are drawn from two major bodies of work: his Vintage Fashion series, captured during commercial shoots, and the Deterioration series, which consists of prints from his earlier fashion photography.

Gifford Youth Orchestra offers Annual Spring Concert and Graduate Benefit on Apr. 15, 6 p.m. at the Environmental Learning Center. Free admission.  All are welcome. Donations accepted at the door.

North Indian River County Library offers French Conversation Class on Apr. 19, 1:30 p.m. This is an informal meeting for French speakers of all levels to practice and enhance their conversational abilities. Please note, this is not for beginners, but rather an opportunity for those with prior French language experience to connect and converse.  No registration required to attend. Free.

Christ by the Sea offers Easter on Apr. 19, 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Join us to experience the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ set to a full musical production with a mixed choir, full orchestra, liturgical dancers, dramatic scenes, and uplifting narration! Featuring singers and musicians from many colleges in FL. Free will offering appreciated.
