The galleries, grounds, and especially the Vero Beach Museum of Art studios were filled with artists of all ages on Saturday, April 12, during the Children’s Art Festival. The free, annual celebration of the arts and art-making attracted nearly 3,600 attendees whose creative endeavors included art-making in the studios and Buck Atrium; music, theater, and dance performances in the Leonhardt Auditorium and Holmes Great Hall; art hunts throughout the Museum; docent-led tours of the galleries; and demonstrations by youth artists outside.
Multiple student art exhibitions, featuring students from the School District of Indian River County and the North County Charter Elementary, were on view. Local youth groups—the North County Charter Stingrays, Honey High and Blue, Ocean Youth Orchestra, Rosewood Magnet Panther Performers, Vero Classical School, and Music Angels Fund—presented live performances and art demonstrations,
