Former VB resident Dylan Paris goes to DC for prestigious journalism conference

Dylan Paris, a student at New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies and entering his senior year of school, has been selected to represent Brooklyn, NY as a National Youth Correspondent to the 2025 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University.  This week-long unique leadership conference will be held in early July and is designed to develop and encourage future leaders in the changing face of media in the 21st century.

Dylan Paris is the son of Danielle Ferretti Paris and Eric Paris, the latter who grew up in Vero Beach and is a graduate of Vero Beach High School, He is the grandson of Vero Beach residents Beverly and Martin Paris.

Dylan joins a selected group of students from all over the country for an intensive study of journalism and media, and was chosen based on academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in journalism and media studies.  National Youth Correspondents participate in hands-on, experimental learning through decision-making simulation that challenge them to solve problems and explore the creative, practical , and the social lessons inherent to journalism and media.  Presenters include prominent journalists, CEO’s of major media outlets, researchers and recent college graduates successfully entering the field.  This unparalleled experience, held at George Mason University’s state-of-the art campus, will encourage and inspire young leaders from across the country who desire a unique experience focused on successful careers in this dynamic industry.
