Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to announce its upcoming production, Young and Cool, an electrifying showcase that redefines ballet for a new generation. With performances at Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach and The McAlpin Fine Arts Center in Fort Pierce, this fresh, high-energy performance blends classical technique with contemporary edge, proving that ballet is anything but old-fashioned.
Young and Cool will feature French-inspired L’autre Côté du Miroir, a new solo by Camilo A. Rodriguez, the iconic Le Corsaire pas de deux (made famous by May-December dance partners Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev), and Adam Schnell’s Crimson & Clover, which turns 20 this year, and brought down the house at the company’s sold-out fall Vero Beach Museum of Art performance.
The programhighlights the company’s talented dancers and cutting-edge choreography in a celebration of youth, innovation, and artistic daring. Set to a vibrant soundtrack that fuses modern beats with timeless melodies, each piece explores what it means to be bold, expressive, and unapologetically original.
