Big Brothers Big Sisters host 13th annual golf tournament

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties hosted its 13th Annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 29 at the private Hawk’s Nest Golf Course in Vero Beach. Stakeholders, donors, and event sponsors enjoyed a beautiful, fun day on the nationally recognized course.

The men’s first place team, sponsored by East Coast Lumber & Supply Company, scored a 50 and included teammates Keith Baker, Fred DiRocco, Ty Fannin, and Keith Geyer. The top women’s team, including Mary Ellen McCarthy, Chris Smith, and Cathy Tilney, scored a 54. The winning mixed flight scored a 52 and included teammates Caroline Taylor and Tom Taylor and Eagle Sponsors Bonnie Wilson and David Wilson.

The event included lunch upon arrival, raffles donated by local businesses, a 50/50 drawing that raised nearly $600 for BBBS, and an awards ceremony with heavy hors d’oeuvres and complimentary bar, sponsored by East Coast Lumber & Supply Company.
