Arts, entertainment and fun in Vero Beach, Sebastian and Indian River County as compiled by the Cultural Council of Indian River County for June 7 – June 14.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach and extended through August 7. Deutilization Conceptualism: The Evolution of Meaning Beyond Function is a solo art exhibit by Viktor Genel.

Environmental Learning Center offers Lagoon Adventures Sumer Camp weekly June through August. Canoe excursions, boat trips, STEAM activities, scavenger hunts, island exploration, seine netting, field trips, and more! Explore ecosystems, habitats, and discover new things about over 1,000 ocean and Indian River Lagoon species. Scholarships available.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950 on view through June 22.  This winter, the internationally touring French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950, makes its first-ever stop in southeast Florida at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. The exhibition showcases 59 artworks from the Brooklyn Museum’s esteemed collection of European art, spanning the era between the Revolution of 1848 and the conclusion of World War II-a period marked by significant social, intellectual, and political upheaval in France. 

The exhibition highlights the avant-garde movements that shaped modern art in the 19th and 20th centuries, featuring works by renowned artists native to France, as well as those who studied and exhibited there.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in collaboration with Pelican Island Audubon Society on exhibit at Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center. A showcase for local elementary school students capturing their experiences through photography. On view May 1 to July 17.

Environmental Learning Center offers Dolphin Drift: SUP Yoga on June 7 & June 14, 9:30 a.m. This is a beginner friendly, yin-based class perfect for all levels.  We invite you to embrace the gentle movement of the water as part of your practice. With the board as your floating mat and the sky as your ceiling, you’ll leave feeling grounded, restored, and renewed.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County on exhibit Indian River County Administration Buildings A and B. “Welcome to My World” is the theme. Featured Artists include Ella Chabot, Tony Caruso, Judy Burgarella, John McAleer. On view through June 19.

Riverside Theatre offers Live in the Loop – Riverside Theatre’s FREE outdoor music venue with local musicians playing Thurs., Fri. and Sat. evenings at 5:30 p.m.; June 12 – 20th St. Jazz Band; June 13 – Chemistry; June 14 – Luna Pearl.

Riverside Theatre offers Howl at the Moon on June 12, 6:30 p.m. More than a dueling pianos show, Howl at the Moon is a high-energy music show. Come sing, dance, and howl as the most talented musicians perform your favorite rock, pop, and dance hits from the 80’s, 90’s, and today!

Art at the Emerson Center offers The Indian River Lagoon By Brush and Lens through June 4, 2025. An Earth Day-inspired exhibition showcasing the natural beauty and ecological significance of the Indian River Lagoon through art and photography.

Riverside Theatre offers Annie JR. on June 13 and June 14, 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Everyone’s favorite orphan is back in this hilarious 60-minute stage spectacle, based on the smash hit film and beloved Broadway musical. Performed by students aged 11-18.

Riverside Theatre offers Comedy Zone on June 13 and June 14, 6 p.m. Riverside’s showcase of professional comedians touring the comedy circuit takes the Waxlax Stage. Comedians: Carl Guerra and Mariza Brussolo.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Free Admission on June 14. The Vero Beach Museum of Art offers free admission every second Saturday of the month. Second Saturdays features a variety of cultural offerings, including the widely popular Museums Studios for families from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Complementary programming such as performances, lectures, films, and related expressions of arts and humanities will continue throughout the afternoon on select Saturdays. 

McKee Botanical Gardens offers 20th Annual Waterlily Celebration on June 14, 8:30 a.m. Internationally acclaimed waterlilies will take center stage in the historic ponds and tranquil water mazes. Whether you are a visitor, a photographer, or painter, this vibrant display offers endless inspiration and beauty. Enjoy early morning access to witness the stunning night bloomers, followed by a full day of activities for all ages.

Environmental Learning Center offers Nature’s Palette Workshop on June 14, 9:00 a.m. The Nature’s Palette Workshop is a family-friendly art experience focused on ephemeral art – a creative form that uses natural materials like leaves, rocks, and flowers to create temporary masterpieces in the landscape.   This workshop is open to all ages and experience levels.

Environmental Learning Center offers Free Admission All Weekend on June 14 and June 15. In honor of Father’s Day and National Get Outdoors Day, ELC is FREE all weekend long. Bring the family for a day of outdoor adventures. Visit our Discovery Station aquariums and observe fish species from the Indian River Lagoon up-close; mangrove snapper, sheepshead, snook, flounder, eels, lionfish, seahorses, and more!

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography.  Exhibition runs through 8/31.  Robert Farber’s professional practice spans commercial and fine art photography, with subject matter ranging from fashion and portraits to still life and landscapes. The works featured in Timeless are drawn from two major bodies of work: his Vintage Fashion series, captured during commercial shoots, and the Deterioration series, which consists of prints from his earlier fashion photography.

Vero Beach Art Club offers Summer Splash Member Art Exhibit runs through June 22. Come by and see this fun Member show. At the same time, artist and artisan members of the Art Club fill the adjoining Marketplace space with wares for purchase.
