Ballet Vero Beach proudly unveils its highly anticipated 2025-2026 season, promising a captivating blend of bold innovation and cherished tradition. Continuing its mission to present world-class ballet and community-driven programs, the company invites audiences to experience a season that celebrates both the rich legacy and forward momentum of the art form.
“This season reflects our continued commitment to artistic excellence, accessibility, and innovation,” says Artistic Director Adam Schnell. “From groundbreaking premieres to reimagined classics, we’re thrilled to offer something for everyone in our community.”
Season Highlights Include:
Riverside Dance Festival featuring L.A. Contemporary Dance Company
Riverside Theatre
August 1 and 2 | 7:30pm
Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to present, in partnership with Riverside Theatre, the return of L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC). By bringing together a restlessness of soul and desire for connection, LACDC pushes the boundaries of dance while creating a sense of belonging that results in electrifying performances that are not to be missed.
Nutcracker on the Indian River
Riverside Theatre
December 11 and 12 | 7:30pm
December 13 | 2:00pm
Nutcracker on the Indian River has become a local holiday tradition, and we are thrilled to announce a move to Riverside Theatre this season. The production retains all the whimsy and magic of the original ballet but moves the action to the year Vero was founded (1919). From land crabs to manatees and river otters to bougainvillea, our production has become an instant classic that takes all the magic of the stage and uses that magic to both entertain and inspire. Visit our website to learn more about our Nutcracker VIP Experience.
Subscription Series Program 1: All Rodriguez | The Trios
VBHS Performing Arts Center
January 16 | 7:30pm
January 17 | 2:00 and 7:30pm
Sometimes neoclassical, often contemporary, and always irreverent, Ballet Master and Principal dancer Camilo A. Rodriguez brings us a program of three contrasting trios that will leave audiences astounded by the breadth and depth of his work. The program includes the neoclassical Tunic and Tutus, the contemporary Sheer Vibration, and the wholly zany While There’s Still Music.
Subscription Series Program 2: Composer’s Notebook | David Homan
VBHS Performing Arts Center
March 20 | 7:30pm
March 21 | 2:00 and 7:30pm
Join Ballet Vero Beach in celebrating the musical genius of composer David Homan. Homan has had a long history with BVB, and this exceptional program will feature Ariel Grossman’s sweeping Ori (a BVB signature), the main stage return of the company’s iconic reimagined Firebird, and a world premiere by Artistic Director Adam Schnell: Ribbons. Three arresting works. One prolific composer.
Subscription Series Program 3: Allusions and Allegories
VBHS Performing Arts Center
April 10 | 7:30pm
April 11 | 2:00 and 7:30pm
Our company has become known for our ability to tell stories in unexpected ways. In Allusions and Allegories, that skill will be writ large across the stage. This robust program features the main stage debut of And So It Goes by Camilo A. Rodriguez and the return of Yves de Bouteiller’s West Side Story Suite. Premiered as part of our Interpretive Dance Series at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, And So It Goes brings the full company together to express the foibles of coupling and the human condition, while West Side Story Suite brought audiences to their feet during its company premiere in 2024.
Subscription Series Program 4: Spring Flings
McAlpin Fine Arts Center
Indian River State College
May 15 | 7:00pm
May 16 | 2:00pm
Riverside Theatre
May 22 | 7:30pm
May 23 | 2:00 and 7:30pm
In a season finale that promises pop, precision, and perpetual motion, Spring Flings (playing both Indian River State College’s McAlpin Fine Arts Center and Riverside Theatre) has something for everyone! George Balanchine’s original version of Valse Fantaisie makes its company premiere alongside Adam Schnell’s flirty ABBAsolutely (set to the music by the famous Swedish Pop group), and Matthew Lovegood’s lush and windswept Caprice returns after an absence of several seasons. Prepare to be dazzled as we close out the season with a little extra panache!
