Arts, entertainment and fun in Vero Beach, Sebastian and Indian River County as compiled by the Cultural Council of Indian River County for July 26 – Aug. 2.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach and extended through August 7. Deutilization Conceptualism: The Evolution of Meaning Beyond Function is a solo art exhibit by Viktor Genel.

Environmental Learning Center offers Dolphin Drift: SUP Yoga on July 26 and Aug. 2, 9:00 a.m. This is a beginner friendly, yin-based class perfect for all levels.  We invite you to embrace the gentle movement of the water as part of your practice. With the board as your floating mat and the sky as your ceiling, you’ll leave feeling grounded, restored, and renewed. You are encouraged to bring your own paddleboard, but the ELC has 2 paddleboards available for rent.  **Pre-registration is required.**

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach offers Buddhist Sitting Group on July 28, 3:00 p.m. Find peace in the present moment and experience calming, mindful meditation. All are welcome. No charge.

Summer’s Delight is the theme. Featured Artists include Judy Burgarella, Tony Caruso, Peter Jordan, Joan Mercer and Mark Wygonik.

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach offers Qigong and Yoga on July 30, 8:00 a.m. Take a moment for yourself and breathe, stretch, and connect. Join us for a rejuvenating Qigong and Yoga session at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach. Please bring a Yoga mat. Donations accepted.

North Indian River County Library offers Lens of the World Documentary Series on July 30, 1:30 p.m. Looking to learn something new? Join us to watch a documentary on a different topic each month and enjoy free popcorn and water provided by the Friends of the North IRC Library. Admission is free and there is no registration required to attend.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography.  Exhibition runs through 8/31.  Robert Farber’s professional practice spans commercial and fine art photography, with subject matter ranging from fashion and portraits to still life and landscapes. The works featured in Timeless are drawn from two major bodies of work: his Vintage Fashion series, captured during commercial shoots, and the Deterioration series, which consists of prints from his earlier fashion photography.

Riverside Theatre offers SAK Comedy Lab on July 31, 6:30 p.m. Witness the talented entertainers from SAK Comedy Lab do what they do best – make everything up right before your eyes! This energetic and interactive show will feature SAK Comedy Lab pros as they perform a series of hilarious scenes with outlandish characters and inventive songs, all created spontaneously, with nothing to spark the comedy except suggestions and ideas from the AUDIENCE!

Center for Spiritual Care offers It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again on July 31, 6:00 p.m. and Aug. 1 and 2, 9:00 a.m. This is the first part of an intensive 3-day retreat. The retreat is based on Julia Cameron’s book, “It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again”. The book and the retreat will be particularly relevant to people experiencing one of life’s many transitions. Participants will only meet at the Center during the day, but, they will not sleep there overnight.

North Indian River County Library offers Chat & Chew Social Hour on Aug. 1, 10:30 a.m. Join us for a casual, drop-in social hour on the FIRST FRIDAY of every month. Riverside Theatre offers Comedy Zone on Aug. 1 and 2, 6:30 p.m. Riverside’s showcase of professional comedians touring the comedy circuit takes the Waxlax Stage. Comedians are: JJ Curry and Ricky Hicken.

Ballet Vero Beach offers Riverside Dance Festival on Aug. 1 and 2, 7:30 p.m. Continuing our pursuit of bringing the best in dance to our own backyard, Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to present, in partnership with Riverside Theatre, the return of L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC). By bringing together a restlessness of soul and desire for connection, LACDC pushes the boundaries of dance while creating a sense of belonging that results in electrifying performances that are not to be missed.

Hallway gallery features works by Jen Berlin. Council Chambers gallery features works by Merana Cadorette and Richard Gillmor.

Riverside Theatre offers Live in the Loop on July 31, Aug. 1 and 2, 5:30 p.m. Local musicians play the Loop Outdoor Stage this Thursday with the band being: Beachside Jazz. Friday’s band is: Murphy’s Law. Saturday’s band is: Chemistry.
