The Vero Beach Art Club, a nonprofit, had money left in the scholarship fund…. a student at Gifford Youth Achievement Center, Leo Swanigan, started volunteering to help with Summer Camp….the VBAC staff found out he was starting at South Carolina State University in a couple of weeks….The Board decided to present him with a surprise $1000 scholarship on his last day. Leo is taking Studio Art as his major so that he can do graphics or fine art and wants to work in animation. For more information about the Vero Beach Art Club:
