Arts, entertainment and fun in Vero Beach, Sebastian and Indian River County as compiled by the Cultural Council of Indian River County for Oct. 4 – 11.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach. The Good, The Rad, & The Lovely. P and Jeff Hall show their colorful work August 7 through November 6.

Economic Opportunities Council of Indian River County offers Motown and Mingle on Oct. 4, 6:00 p.m. at Summer Crush Vineyards. Step back in time at our spectacular 60th anniversary event, Motown & Mingle, where the vibrant sounds of Motown fill the air! Registration Required.

Environmental Learning Center offers The Gator Group Fiber Artists Discover the intricate beauty of hooked-rug fiber art in this vibrant collection. Each piece blends color, texture, and storytelling, showcasing the artistry and creativity of this talented collective.  Free to attend – Exhibit runs through October.

Environmental Learning Center offers Full Moon Guided Kayak Excursion on Oct. 6, 6:00 p.m. Glide across the shimmering waters of the Indian River Lagoon under the glow of the rising full moon. Paddle quietly through winding channels, silhouetted by mangroves against the night sky. You’ll experience the lagoon’s magic in a whole new way.  Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time.

Environmental Learning Center offers Guided Kayak Excursions on Oct. 11, 9:30 a.m. Join our trained nature guide and paddle the serene waters of the Indian River Lagoon exploring this unique ecosystem with abundant wildlife and hidden mangrove tunnels! We provide all the gear you need.

Environmental Learning Center offers Dolphin Drift: SUP Yoga on Oct. 11, 9:00 a.m. This is a beginner friendly, yin-based class perfect for all levels.  We invite you to embrace the gentle movement of the water as part of your practice. With the board as your floating mat and the sky as your ceiling, you’ll feel grounded, restored, and renewed **Pre-registration is required

Sebastian River Art Club offers 3rd Annual Exhibition at VBMA This vibrant showcase highlights the exceptional talent of SRAC members, featuring a diverse array of styles, colors, textures, and compositions. Admission is free – exhibit runs from through Oct. 19.

Environmental Learning Center offers Sunrise Guided Kayak Excursion on Oct. 11, 6:30 a.m. Start the day on the water as the sun climbs over the horizon and lights up the Indian River Lagoon. Paddle through the calm morning currents with the mangroves at your side and the sky shifting from gray to fire. The air is crisp, the wildlife is stirring, and every stroke puts you deeper into the raw beauty of the lagoon.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center, 1590 9th Street SW through October 30. Summer’s Delight is the theme. Featured Artists include Judy Burgarella, Tony Caruso, Peter Jordan, Joan Mercer and Mark Wygonik.

Center for Spiritual Care offers Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction on Oct. 6, 6:00 p.m. This is an eight-week program designed to instruct participants on how to have greater attention control. Classes include meditation practice, experiential learning and group discussion.

Vero Beach Art Club offers Summer Memories Member Exhibit on view at the VBAC Gallery & Marketplace through Oct. 14th. This vibrant exhibition celebrates the artistry and creativity of the Club’s members, capturing the warmth, spirit, and inspiration of summertime. Gallery Hours Vary.

Isola Arts offers Waldo’s Secret Art & Antique Barn Sale on Oct. 4, 10:00 a.m. Join us for a very unique art event featuring member artists of Isola Arts along with a massive antique sale featuring some very special picks from Waldo’s many treasures.  

Center for Spiritual Care offers Soulful Harvest Exhibition with the amazing artwork of Lisa Lugo and Gail Lois Jaffe. Full exhibit runs through Nov. 15.

Environmental Learning Center offers Wild Wednesdays – Unstructured Play for Homeschoolers on Oct 8, 3:00 p.m. Join at the F.U.N. Zone Nature Playscape (Families Unplugged in Nature). Designed with homeschool families in mind, this is a chance for kids and parents to unplug, connect with others, and enjoy all the outdoor spaces the ELC has to offer.

Featured Artists include  Judy Burgarella, Tony Caruso, Mary Carter, John McAleer and Sheila McAvoy. On view  October 2 to January 15, 2026.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on Exhibit at Vero Beach City Hall, 1053 20th Place through October 23. Inspired is the theme. Hallway gallery features works by Jen Berlin. Council Chambers gallery features works by Merana Cadorette and Richard Gillmor.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers A Tangled Plot: Works by Annie Blazejack and Geddes Levenson on View July 12 through October 5, 2025. In more than 40 paintings and mixed-media works, the duo reveals their unique and highly collaborative artistic process. The works illuminate their deep connections to the Florida landscape through exploration of its diverse wildlife, marine life, and intricate ecosystems, including swamps, marshes, hardwood hammocks, and mangrove forests.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in conjunction with Mandy and Ray Hooker invite you to a viewing at Indian River Distillery, 3308 Aviation Blvd. in Vero Beach.  Exhibit Theme: “Stories By The Still”  featuring Plein Air artists from Isola Arts: Katherine Larsen, Gail Holl & Mary O’Neal. On view August 28 to November 20.
