On Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11:30am, The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Vero Beach branch will sponsor an informative discussion about how to handle the living arrangement issues that may arise then. Yvette Jenkin, Sales & Marketing Director of Heron Point will discuss the right time to consider a move, as well as different types of retirement communities and care facilities. Joining her will be Anita Calabro, senior Vice-President and senior trust officer of Cypress Bank and Trust, who will focus on financial considerations and resources. She will delineate the important questions to ask before signing contracts and explain strategies to help protect assets.

When we begin to consider the options for our next steps, we have many types of retirement communities to choose from; how much we enjoy our new community will depend on making informed decisions, and selecting a place that matches our preferences, lifestyle and budget.

The program is at Westminster Presbyterian Church 2555 58th Ave., Vero Beach. Cost is $25; registration deadline is Nov. 10. Go to AAUWverobeach.org to register and pay.

AAUW-Vero Beach is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All funds raised go towards providing scholarships for women and girls in Indian River County.
