CCIRC Arts & Entertainment Calendar for IRG

Arts, entertainment and fun in Vero Beach, Sebastian and Indian River County as compiled by the Cultural Council of Indian River County for Nov. 8 to Nov. 15

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Double Portraits, an exhibition on view through January 11, 2026.  Featuring 47 photographs by 34 artists, each capturing the rich and ever-evolving American South through the concept of a “double portrait.” 

Artists Guild Gallery presents Vero Ocean Views’ by photographer Peter Jordan. His stunning photographs are on exhibit, and for sale during the month of Nov.

Gallery14 presents Spiritual Explorations: Paintings by Jane Johnson, the work of popular, award winning, contemporary painter Jane Johnson.  The exhibit will run through Nov. 28.

The Emerson Center offers The Florida Art Chix and Friends Exhibition in its Gallery, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Weekdays, closed Wednesdays, through November 19.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center, 1590 9th Street SW through Jan. 28, 2026. Energized is the theme. Featured Artists include Tony Caruso, Eileen Lovre, Joan Mercer, and Mark Wygonik.

Environmental Learning Center presents A Cuban Season through Dec. 31.  A gallery exhibition featuring six Cuban artists working across painting, engraving, drawing, printmaking, and more. Each piece tells its own story of home, memory, and identity, highlighting the rich diversity of Cuban art.

Environmental Learning Center offers Wild Wednesdays on Nov. 5 and 12 at 3:00 p.m. Join at the F.U.N. Zone Nature Playscape (Families Unplugged in Nature). Designed with homeschool families in mind, this is a chance for kids and parents to unplug, connect with others, and enjoy all the outdoor spaces the ELC has to offer.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Second Saturdays at VBMA Saturday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.   Admission is free every second Saturday of the month. Second Saturdays features a variety of cultural offerings, including the widely popular Museums Studios for families.  Activities vary each month.

Environmental Learning Center offers Guided Kayak Excursions on Nov. 8, 15, and 22 at 9:00 a.m. Join our trained nature guide and paddle the serene waters of the Indian River Lagoon exploring this unique ecosystem with abundant wildlife and hidden mangrove tunnels! We provide all the gear you need.

Environmental Learning Center offers Nature’s Palette Workshop on Nov. 8, 9:00 a.m. This is a family-friendly art experience focused on ephemeral art and uses natural materials like leaves, rocks, and flowers to create temporary masterpieces in the landscape. Open to all ages and experience levels.

Environmental Learning Center offers Dolphin Drift: SUP Yoga on Nov. 8, 9:30 a.m. This is a beginner friendly, yin-based class perfect for all levels.  We invite you to embrace the gentle movement of the water as part of your practice. Riverside Theatre offers Playtime in the Park on Nov. 8 & 15, 11:00 a.m. A FREE program for the community’s youngest audience members, it includes dance and theatre offerings from our education programs on the Theatre’s Loop Stage. Ideal for kids 2-5, entertaining for parents and the whole family, too!

Center for Spiritual Care offers Soulful Harvest, the amazing artwork of Lisa Lugo and Gail Lois Jaffe. Exhibit runs through Nov. 14.

Exhibit Theme: “Stories By The Still” featuring Plein Air artists from Isola Arts: Katherine Larson, Gail Holl & Mary O’Neal. On view to Nov. 20.

Riverside Theatre offers Little Shop of Horrors through Nov. 9.  Show times vary. You’ll scream with delight at the science fiction musical by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. Little Shop tells the story of Seymour, a meek and dejected assistant at a flower shop who happens upon a strange plant on his way home.

Cultural Council’s Member Exhibit at Vero Beach Museum Of Art “Progressive Perspectives” is on view in the Patten Community Gallery to November 30.

Riverside Theatre offers Live in the Loop Local musicians play the Loop Outdoor Stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 5:30 p.m. Thursday, 11/13: 20th St Jazz Band; Friday, 11/14: Pepperland; Saturday, 11/15: St Johns Wood.

Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation offers Teen Writers Workshop – Make a Scene Nov. 8 from1:30-4 p.m. Learn to write a scene & develop your characters. The conflict between the protagonist and antagonist generates the story’s drama. Held at the Laura (Riding) Jackson Writing Center, 1914 14th Ave.

Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation offers Kids Write Outside Nov. 9 (and every 2nd Sun. until April 2026) from1-3 p.m. Creative writing activities for children ages 3 to 11 at the historic LRJF pole barn at the Indian River State College Mueller Campus in Vero Beach.

Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation offers Historic House Tours each Tuesday 1-5 p.m. from Nov. 11 to the end of April 2026.  See how the noted poet and author lived in her “cracker” architecture-styled house during a docent led tour at the Indian River State College Mueller Campus in Vero Beach.

Ballet Vero Beach presents “Reflections” dance performance at the Vero Beach Museum of Art Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. & 3 p.m. in the Leonhardt Auditorium. Featuring original choreography inspired by themes of identity and expression found in the Museum’s fall exhibition Double Portraits.  

American Association of University Women (AAUW) Vero Beach offers Changing Seasons, Changing Spaces Nov.15 at 11:30 a.m. They will discuss the right time to consider a move, as well as different types of retirement communities and care facilities. Held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Center for Spiritual Care is celebrating its 25th Anniversary Nov. 20, 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center with its Gathering the Light event. Enjoy bluegrass with a local band, BBQ, and community spirit as they celebrate 25 years and Gather the Light for 25 more.   Tickets required.
