Get ready for a musical celebration packed with Christmas cheer, when Andrew Cleaver and the Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra present Jingle: The Big Band Holiday Spectacular! on Sunday afternoon, November 30 at 3:00 PM at the Emerson Center, 1590 27th Avenue in Vero Beach, 32960.
SCSJO Bandleader and saxophonist Andrew Cleaver will lead Florida’s finest jazz musicians in a cool yule of holiday favorites during Jingle, a festive program of swinging holiday music arranged for big bands. The audience will hear vibrant arrangements by legendary writers Rick Kubis, Gordon Goodwin, and Sammy Nestico, along with heartwarming renditions of “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bells” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.” Jingle: The Big Band Holiday Spectacular! will also feature guest vocalist Kim Reteguiz, in a performance of classic carols, soulful ballads, and swingin’ seasonal magic. From fresh takes on “Winter Wonderland” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” to lively, jazz-infused arrangements like “Auld Lang Cha Cha Cha,” “Little Drummer Boy Boogie” and “Yo Tannenbaum,” every tune is a musical gift waiting to be unwrapped. Vocals on Harry Connick’s “Sleigh Ride” will be provided by tenor saxophone player, Greg Diaz. Tickets for Jingle are $35 in advance for adults, available through the orchestra website at SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank & Trust, beachside and mainland branches. Tickets at the door are $40. Jingle is free for those aged 18 and under or with a student ID. For more information, call 855-252-7276 or visit SpaceCoastSymphony.org.
