Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to announce the return of Nutcracker on the Indian River.Now at Riverside Theatre! Full Performances will take place on Thursday, December 11, and Friday, December 12, at 7:30 pm, and on Saturday, December 13, at 2:00 pm at Riverside Theatre, 3250 Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963. 

The company’s beloved Accessible/Family-Friendly performances of Nutcracker for All return, offering guests a one-act (one hour) version of the production geared towards individuals with differing abilities and families with young children. The production features modified audio and visual effects, as well as increased accessible seating and sections for those who are unable to remain seated throughout the performance.

New this year, guests can choose which act of the production to see at Nutcracker For All, with Act 1 featuring the beautiful snow scene on Saturday, December 13, at 7:00 pm, and Act 2 featuring the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Indian River Lagoon friends on Sunday, December 14, at 12:00 pm. Performances of Nutcracker For All take place at Riverside Theatre.

Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to be the only arts organization in the area to offer a fully Accessible/Family Friendly Series that offers professional-level arts experiences to underserved segments of our community. All tickets for Nutcracker for All are subsidized at $10, thanks to the generosity of Ballet Vero Beach’s many funders and donors.

Back by popular demand, Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to offer the Nutcracker VIP Add-On Experience. VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to take photos with cast members, receive an exclusive VIP Swag Bag filled with signature Nutcracker on the Indian River merchandise, and fun surprises. This experience is perfect for all ages…the young and the young at heart! 

Tickets for the VIP Add-On Experience are $25, and there is limited availability at each performance, so book your experience as soon as you get your tickets for Nutcracker on the Indian River!

Nutcracker on the Indian River retains all the whimsy and magic of the original ballet but moves the action to the year Vero was founded (1919). Taking the ballet’s heroine, Marie, on a holiday journey from New York to Florida, Fifth Avenue Mansions, Grand Central Station, and rail cars become settings. Instead of a second act featuring candy characters, Marie dreams of the shores of the Indian River Lagoon and is entertained by all manner of local flora and fauna.

From land crabs to manatees and river otters to bougainvillea, our production has become an instant classic that takes all the magic of the stage and uses that magic to both entertain and inspire.
