arts & entertainment

Get ready to sing along, smile wide, and feel the spirit of the season! Senior Resource Association’s (SRA) beloved Silver Tones volunteer choir returns for their first concert of the year with Songs of Peace and Joy for the Holidays—a heartwarming celebration of music, community, and cheer.

Led by Jacob Craig, Director of Music and Arts at First Presbyterian Church, the Silver Tones bring together older adults (55+) from across Indian River County to share their voices and their hearts. Thanks to the generous support of Michael and the late Kathie Pierce, the all-volunteer choir performs three themed concerts each season, as well as a summer series, at local assisted living communities.

Upcoming Concerts in 2026:

  • Favorite Love Songs of All Time – Thursday, February 12 at 10 a.m. & 6 p.m.
  • Stars, Stripes and Song – Thursday, April 9 at 10 a.m. & 6 p.m.

“The Silver Tones are a joyful reflection of our mission,” said SRA President and CEO Karen Deigl. “Their voices uplift our community and remind us of the power of connection, creativity, and care.”

Concerts are free, but donations are always appreciated and help support vital SRA programs, including Meals on Wheels and DayAway Adult Enrichment and Respite.

For more information about the concerts, or if you’re interested in joining the Silver Tones, call 772.569.0760 ext. 239 or visit www.SeniorResourceAssociation.org.
