A tested approach to rediscovering purpose and possibility in times of life transitions will be offered in a workshop Jan. 14-16 at the Center for Spiritual Care in Vero Beach.  Called “It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again,” the workshop is based on the ideas of Julia Cameron, the award-winning writer known for her practical slant on unlocking creative potential.

Shotsi Lajoie

The workshop will be facilitated by artist and therapist Shotsi Lajoie, LMHC, and spiritual director Carol Ludwig. “This project is especially designed for people approaching retirement or going through a life transition,” says Ludwig.  “The idea is to help people find new meaning and purpose — to help them overcome feelings of being lost and embrace a joyful, vibrant second act.”

The group will meet Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 15, from 9 to 4:30 p.m.; and Friday, Jan. 16, from 9 to 1 p.m.  An immersive experience, the workshop will feature small group discussions, reflective prompts, and creative exercises to jumpstart energy and reclaim earlier life dreams.

Tuition for the three-day event is $175 for Center members and $195 for non-members.  Light meals, snacks and beverages will be included.  Registration can be accomplished at info@centerforspiritualcare.org.

The Center is located at 1550 24th St., two blocks north of Vero’s Main Pubic Library.
