Arts, entertainment and fun in Vero Beach, Sebastian and Indian River County as compiled by the Cultural Council of Indian River County for Jan. 24-31

Environmental Learning Center offers Lagoonapalooza Jan. 24 at 10:00 a.m. This FREE event features dozens of environmental partners with tons of hands-on activities, food, pontoon or kayak trips, visits to the aquarium and touch tank, dip netting in the pond, plus some of the area’s best musical groups performing throughout the day.

Gifford Youth Achievement Center offers Runway Rendezvous: Where Futures Take Flight Jan. 24 at 5:00 p.m. Take a journey back in time to the iconic Golden Age of aviation – to the days of luxurious travel aboard the likes of Pan American Airlines and Air France. Held at the Oak Harbor Club. Come fly with GYAC! Let’s fly away!

Riverside Theatre offers Live in the Loop Local musicians play the Loop Outdoor Stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 5:30 p.m. –Saturday, Jan. 24: GenX duo (70s 80s 90s Acoustic Rock) -Thurs, Jan. 29: Hairpiece (multi-genre acoustic duo + original songs, -Friday, Jan. 30: Nico James (Acoustic Rock/Pop), -Saturday, Jan. 31: Pippin & Willin’ (multi-genre acoustic duo + original songs)

Environmental Learning Center offers Walking Meditation on Jan. 25 at 1:00 p.m. Walking meditation is a ‘meditation in motion,’ great for beginners and seasoned meditators alike.  If our daily lives are defined by ‘going to’ or ‘coming from’, walking meditation is a practice of mindfulness and being present in the moment.

The Community Church of Vero Beach presents their Congregational Art Show through Jan. 25. You’ll see poems, paintings, pottery, and more displayed in their Narthex Gallery. View the gallery on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., or Call ahead to view the gallery Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit in the Indian River County Administration Buildings A and B. “Fun In The Sun” is the theme. This Artist Member Exhibit includes Grace Cormier, Tony Caruso, Stuart Duvall and Janet Grossarth. On view Jan. 26 to April 20.

Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation offers Historic House Tours Tuesday 1-5 p.m. Jan. 27 (Each Tues. to the end of April 2026).  See how the noted poet and author lived in her “cracker” architecture-styled house during a docent led tour at the Indian River State College Mueller Campus in Vero Beach.

The North IRC Library is hosting Lens of the World- Documentary Series Jan. 28 (and the last Wednesday of each month) at 1:30 p.m. Join us to watch a documentary on a different topic each month and enjoy free popcorn and water provided by the Friends of the North IRC Library. Admission is free and there is no registration required to attend.

Melbourne Chamber Music Society presents Zimbalist Piano Trio Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Featuring Chamber music for piano trio by Dvorak, Smetana, and George Xianyuan Fu.  Held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 2030 N. A1A in Indialantic.

Center for Spiritual Care presents Madeline Long’s New Works Exhibition, showing through the month of January.

Vero Beach Museum of Art celebrates our Nation’s 250th year with American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection Jan. 31 to June 7. This is an exhibition of more than 80 works by renowned American artists, including Benjamin West, Sarah Miriam Peale, Edward Moran, John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt, Robert Henri, and Charles Alston. The exhibit spans 250 years, with an emphasis on the 19th and 20th centuries.

Riverside Theatre offers A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder through Feb. 1.  Show times vary. Winner of the Tony® Award for Best Musical, the play is a murderous romp filled with unforgettable music, non-stop laughs and scene-stealing characters who meet their ends in the most creative and side-splitting ways. 

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center, 1590 9th Street SW through Feb. 2. Energized is the theme. Featured Artists include Tony Caruso, Eileen Lovre, Joan Mercer, and Mark Wygonik.

The Emerson Center presents Lagoon by Brush and Lens Exhibition Celebrating the 2026 Indian River Lagoon. Gallery Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Weekdays, closed Wednesdays.  Exhibit Dates to Feb 4.

The Cave Gallery of Art presents Through My Eyes, Mary Lou Mullan Solo Exhibition through Feb. 8.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in conjunction with Mandy and Ray Hooker invite you to a viewing at Indian River Distillery. Exhibit Theme: “Olde Florida Stories While Sipping” featuring Mary Carter, Ella Chabot & Tony Caruso. On view through Feb 26.

Artists Guild Gallery presents Artist Exhibition for Susan Bayard Whiting and Robert Whiting, guest artists for Jan. and Feb.  Their fabulous artwork will be displayed at the gallery through Feb. 28.
