Senior Resource Association Foundation (SRAF) welcomed enthusiastic guests to its inaugural Living Joyfully luncheon, an uplifting event headlined by Emmy Award–winning entertainer Vicki Lawrence. Attendees enjoyed an afternoon filled with humor, storytelling, and connection—all in support of SRA’s mission to serve and enrich the lives of older adults in Indian River County.

The event began with an exclusive VIP meet‑and‑greet, where guests had the opportunity to speak with Lawrence, take photos, and enjoy a warm, personal start to the afternoon. During the luncheon, Lawrence delighted the audience with candid stories about her rise to fame, including the unexpected path that led her from a fan letter to a starring role on The Carol Burnett Show. Her remarks blended humor and heart, offering guests a rare behind‑the‑scenes look at her decades‑long career in television and entertainment.

Following her keynote, Lawrence participated in a lively audience Q&A, answering questions with the same wit and authenticity that have made her a beloved figure for generations.

“We are thrilled by the community’s response to our first Living Joyfully event,” said Robyn Orzel, SRAF Executive Director. “Vicki Lawrence brought such joy to the room, and the support from our sponsors and attendees helps strengthen the essential programs we provide to local seniors every day.”

SRA extends its deepest gratitude to the event’s Presenting Sponsor, Trudie Rainone, whose leadership and generosity helped bring this inaugural luncheon to life. SRA also recognizes its Platinum Sponsors: Sherry Ann Dayton, Elke Fetterolf, Sandra How, Mary Lewisy, Ruth Ann McGuinnis, and Dawn Michael.

The success of the event was made possible through the dedication of the Living Joyfully Co-chairs: Sherry Ann Dayton, Dawn Michael, and Trudie Rainone.

Proceeds from the luncheon support SRA’s vital services, including Meals on Wheels, DayAway Adult Enrichment and Respite, and programs that promote independence, dignity, and connection for older adults.
