County to host Workforce, Career, and Military Pathways Forum

news release

Indian River County’s Human Services Division will host a community forum focused on strengthening workforce, career, and military pathways for youth and young adults on Tuesday, April 22, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the IG Center.

Driven by findings from the Children’s Services Advisory Committee Needs Assessment, this community forum is designed to bring together local employers, educators, workforce partners, military recruiters, and residents to better align existing programs with the needs of the local economy.

Participants will engage in focused discussions on workforce readiness, identify gaps in current systems, and explore opportunities to strengthen connections between education, training programs, and employment pathways within Indian River County.

“Bringing employers and community partners into the same room is critical to ensuring our workforce efforts are aligned with real opportunities,” said John A. Titkanich, Jr., County Administrator. “This forum is about listening, identifying needs, and working together to build stronger pathways for our residents.”

Local employers and industry leaders are strongly encouraged to attend and share their perspectives on workforce needs, hiring challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.
