While hundres of elementary and secondary school students are hard at work completing their projects for the 22nd Annual Regional Science and Engineering Fair, Cynthia Falardeau, executive director of the Education Foundation of Indian River County, is busy recruiting more volunteer judges. According to Falardeau, 40 more judges are needed for the event, which will be held Feb. 1 and the Gifford Middle School. As well, Falardeau is seeking additional event sponsors and special award donors.
Elementary judges need to have an understanding of the scientific method and the ability to hear soft voices. Secondary judges need to have a degree or related work experience in science and engineering.
