The City spent nearly $2 million to arbitrate a 2005 dispute with the FMPA. Another $1.5 million has gone to pay transactional attorneys and other lawyers who have been unsuccessful in concluding a sale of the electric system.  Let’s hope the calls for a legal assault on the FMPA will fall on deaf ears.
