Riverside Theatre presents Hello Dolly! on stage from March 8th through 27th. Based on the uproarious comedy The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder, Hello Dolly! tells the story of widowed matchmaker Dolly Levi, who connects, meddles, and negotiates everyone’s perfect match. The ARC of Indian River County presents Starlight & Sneakers on Thursday, March 10th at Rock City Gardens, 9080 US 1 in Wabasso. The Emerson Center’s free Florida Humanities Series, continues with “La Florida before Jamestown: Europeans, Africans and Indians in La Florida, 1513-1607” on Thursday, March 10th at 7 pm. This look back into early Florida will be presented by professor and chairman of the History Department at the University of North Florida, Michael Francis, Ph.D.
“Florida Crackers: The Cattlemen and Cowboys of Florida” is the film to be shown at the North Indian River County Library on Thursday, March 10th, from 3 – 4:30 pm. This documentary was produced by Rick Smith, son of Patrick Smith, and tells the story of Florida’s little-known cattle culture.
