AT THE VERO BEACH MUSEUM OF ART – The Vero Beach Museum of Art is now exhibiting Out of This World: The Art and Artists of NASA and Masters Of Studio Glass through September 25th as well as an exhibition of pieces in the museum’s permanent collection on view through September 4th.  Cool off this month with a tour of the exhibits and a visit to the Museum Store featuring an artful selection of jewelry, cards, wearable art, toys for kids, exhibition catalogs and gifts.  All  Purchases benefit the educational programs the Museum brings to the community.  Regular admission is Adults $10; Seniors (65yrs+) $9; Students with ID $5; Members, Children (17 yrs and under), and Active Military with ID receive free admission.

 

New classes every week! – Art Mundo is offering “Brush & Brew” painting classes this month at three downtown Fort Pierce locations.  No experience is necessary to take this class and bring your own original painting home!   Classes are held from 6 to 8 pm on the following nights: Paint a Cowboy Boot still life on Tuesday, July 12 at Sailfish Brewery, and paint a Flamingo on Wednesday, July 27 at Orange Bloom Fine Dining.  Classes are $35 for non members and $30 for Art Mundo members. SAVE THE CHIMPS ONLINE AUCTION BEGINS THIS WEEK – Save the Chimps is holding an online auction, All Things Chimp, from July 13 through July 22 at SaveTheChimps.org.  Offered are over 70 unique items to bid on including: Behind-the-Scenes Sanctuary experiences; Original Chimpanzee Art, Collaborative Primate Art, Gift collections, and more.  Save the Chimps provides sanctuary for over 250 chimps on 12 3-acre islands.

COMEDY ZONE AT RIVERSIDE – Riverside Theatre presents  The Comedy Zone Experience – Vegas Nights on Friday & Saturday, July 15 & 16 with shows at 7:30 and 9:30 pm. KASHI PUJA WEEKEND – Join Kashi’s annual celebration of the Guru with the ancient ceremony of Guru Purnima Puja. At this time the feet of the Guru are honored as representing where this being took human form and has brought blessings to humanity and the Earth.  The weekend starts on Friday night  at 5 pm and ends Sunday at 9:30 am. On Saturday be part of the preparations for the highlight of the weekend – Saturday evening puja.
