Historic Dodgertown to partner with Samaritan Center for its 24th annual fundraising event

Dodgertown LogoHistoric Dodgertown is pleased to again partner with the Samaritan Center for its 24th Annual Soup Bowl even, taking place on Thursday, Nov. 3.

This year, guests can dine on a delicious soup lunch prepared by our kitchen staff. Guests will be served in the dining room located in the conference center and can enjoy the baseball-themed décor, including an entire wall with a likeness of Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and framed oversized magazine covers depicting the Dodgers from when they trained in Vero Beach. Guests can also walk and view memorabilia and photographs through the conference center’s Hall of Fame, Championship Hall and Jackie Robinson Room.

Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The minimum donation for a bowl of soup is $5. Additional soup will be available for to-go orders, in quart-sized containers, for $10.

Hand spun ceramic soup bowls will also be available for a $15 minimum donation. Handcrafted soup tureens, made by master ceramicists, will be raffled for chances that cost $1. The winners will be drawn on November 4th @ 6:30 P.M. at the Tiger Lily Art Studio during the downtown Main Street Vero Beach First Friday Gallery Stroll.

Historic Dodgertown is located at 4001 26th Street, near the Vero Beach Airport. Parking will be available adjacent to the conference center.

Samaritan Center is a long-term transitional residential facility for homeless families in Indian River County with a structured step-based program with onsite 24-hours a day case managers that help pregnant women and homeless families develop the life skills needed for successful reintegration into mainstream society.
