The Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Art & Film on Tuesdays at 5:30 this month beginning June 13 and continuing on June 20 and 27. “The World of Wes Anderson” features The Life of Aquatic with Steve Zissou (June 13); Fantastic Mr. Fox (June 20) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (June 20) Free with museum admission: Adults $6; Seniors $5; Free with Museum membership. There is still time to register for Adult Art Classes beginning today. Family programs include Art Babies, Kidz Art Shops, Artful Storytime and Toddler Tours. VERO BEACH WINE + FILM FESTIVAL BEGINS THURSDAY
The Second Annual Vero Beach Wine + Film Festival (VBWFF) begins on Thursday, June 8 and continues on Sunday, June 11 at various screening locations in Vero Beach. VBWFF focuses on providing a truly unique festival, allowing guests to fully experience films with tailored wine and drink pairings, special guests and immersive viewing. Passes with extras range from $185 to $2,500.

Icon Workshop at Center for Spiritual Care
June 19-25, 2017 9:30 am.- 4:30 pm
The Center for Spiritual Care, 1550 24 Street in Vero Beach is hosting a six-day Icon workshop. Students will create an icon using ancient techniques and natural materials rich with symbolic meaning: wood panels prepared with gesso, finely ground clay, 23-karat Italian gold leaf, and mineral pigments in an emulsion made from egg yolk. Previous artistic experience is not required, since icon painting is as much a contemplative form of prayer as an artistic discipline. Each student will complete an icon under Father Richard’s guidance and instruction. All materials will be provided.

SUMMER STRINGS – FIRST SESSION STARTS TODAY.
The Treasure Coast Youth Symphony’s Summer Strings Program 2017 under the instruction of Marina Lenau offers intermediate and advanced young string players an opportunity to expand and enhance their technical and artistic skills. During these ten sessions of reading orchestra and ensemble music of well-known composers, participants will learn how to play well together and improve ensemble performance skills.
