Chamber announces 2018 officers and Board

The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce has announced its new 2018 Board of Directors and officers. The new Board assumes their duties on October 1st, the beginning of the Chamber’s new fiscal year.

Robert Paugh, Bill Bryant & Associates will serve as Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Mr. Paugh remarked that “The Chamber is the ‘go to’ resource for our business community and has a long legacy of accomplishments. Over many decades, our Chamber partnerships, volunteers and staff have formed a respected and collaborative business organization. I am proud to be able to serve in the coming year as its Chairman.”

Ross Cotherman, Rehmann will serve as Vice Chairman and Michael Kissner, an attorney with Collins, Brown, Barkett, Garavaglia & Lawn Chartered will serve as the Chamber Treasurer. Jason Odom, Gould Cooksey Fennell, P.A. will serve as the Chamber’s General Counsel.

Immediate Past Chairman is Jeff Schlitt, Schlitt Services. “Our Chamber demonstrates the vitality of the Vero Beach and county business community” stated Mr. Schlitt. “It has been a true pleasure to have served as the Chairman and I will continue actively serve in my role as Immediate Past President.”

Beindorf, National Bank of Commerce; Ross Cotherman, Rehmann; Donna D’Alfonso, HR Dynamics; Karen Deigl, Senior Resource Association; Bart Gaetjens, Florida Power & Light; Linda Schlitt Gonzalez, Coldwell Banker Paradise; Kathryn Grichnik, Indian River Medical Center; Brian Holmes, Edward Jones; Casey Lunceford, Indian River State College; Paul Lytle, EmbroidMe; Chad Olson, Costa d’ Este Beach Resort & Spa; William Penney, Marine Bank & Trust; Cheryl Roseland, Countryside Citrus; and Michael Walther, Coastal Tech G.E.C Inc.

Recently elected to the Chamber’s Board of Directors are: Lonnie Blake, TD Bank; Alan Dritenbas, Walking Tree Brewery; Jim Funk, Piper Aircraft; Katha Kissman, Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation; and Jon Moses, Riverside Theatre.

Tim Girard, Girard Equipment was re-elected to serve a second term on the Board. And, Sophie Bentham Wood, Vero Beach Museum of Art was appointed to serve as Tourism Committee Chairman.

Retiring from the Board were Jennifer Bates, Holiday Inn Oceanside; Aaron Bowles, MVB Engineering; Simon Caldecott, Piper Aircraft; and Dr. Paul Minotty, New Vision Eye Center.

Penny Chandler, President of the Chamber remarked that “We have a strong membership and an effective Board of Directors representing the leading businesses in Vero Beach and Indian River County. It is a pleasure to work for this fine group of professionals.”

The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce is a county-wide organization representing Vero Beach and Indian River County businesses. Located in Vero Beach, the Chamber represents the business community by providing services, benefits and leadership for positive growth and change.
