The Sebastian River Art Club members will exhibit a wide variety of artwork at Riverview Park in Sebastian during “Art by the River” on Saturday, November 25 from 10 am to 4 pm. Free.
10th Annual Traditional Nutcracker Ballet with live orchestra will be performed at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 25 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm. Presented by Ballet Vero, Parents and Friends Inc. and performed by the local talent of Vero Classical Ballet School and other surrounding ballet schools as well as guest artists from the Orlando Ballet. Small Business Saturday will be held on Saturday, November 25 along and around 14th Avenue in downtown Vero Beach. Promoted by Main Street Vero Beach, downtown shops will be open from 10 am to 4 pm with whole store discounted sale items. The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB) will be holding an upcoming Feline Foster Parent Orientation class on Tuesday, November 28 from 5-6 p.m. Learn how to care for cats and kittens and prepare them for finding a forever homes. Ballet Vero Beach announces a fundraiser in support of “Nutcracker on Indian River.” to be performed in late December. Tea Up for the Nutcracker fundraiser will be held at Oak Harbor Club on Saturday, December 2 at Noon. Activities include: Nutcracker Fashion Show and Seated Lunch; Fun Zone with miniature golf, cookie decorating, and visits with Santa and Nutcracker Characters; Curated silent auction, Leigh Jewelers Rolex watch drawing, and passed gourmet desserts. Tickets are $75 for adults, $50 for Children ages 13-20, and $25 for kids 12 and under. Riverside Theatre’s Distinguished Lecturer Series is celebrating its 20th season of hosting distinguished and thought-provoking lecturers from around the globe. Founders Frannie Atchison and Debbi Peniston are pleased to announce the line-up for the 2018 lecture season: January 22 – Secretary Ash Carter, Former U.S. Secretary of Defense (2015-2017); February 5 – The Right Honourable David Cameron, Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (2010-2016); February 19 – Senator Phil Gramm, Former Head of the Senate Banking Committee; and March 12 – Ambassador Christopher R.
