Frost can get downright nasty -removes offensive Facebook post

Whoever is considering giving Frost an assignment with the state board of education should be aware that the one-term Indian River County School Board member does not take well to criticism, as is evidenced the this post to his Facebook account.
Editor’s note: The above Facebook post was removed from Shawn Frost’s Facebook page, just days after Frost made known his hopes of being appointed to a seat on the State Board of Education.
COMMENTARY

MARK SCHUMANN

Indian River County School Board Chairman Shawn Frost yesterday announced he will not seek re-election when his four-year term expires in 2018. According to Frost, he hopes to be appointed to a seat on the State Board of Education.

In Frost’s own words, one of his goals has been to serve as “an exemplary Chairman of the SDIRC.” Well, when it comes to exemplifying the truly sad state of public discourse today, Frost has certainly done that.

Either the above, crudely worded  Nov. 18 post to Frost’s Facebook page is pure Frost, or someone hacked into his account. Given that this post went up the evening of Nov. 18, and received two comments, and given that since the evening of Nov. 18 15 additional posts have gone up on Frosts Facebook page. At this point, it would be a stretch for Frost to claim he did not write, “Can’t wait to stick in in your stupid F$&*ing faces.”

In 2014, a crude post made from IP address used by Forst was posted on the blog website Beaisms.com. “Still butthurt about being destroyed by both Wilson and Zorc in previous political adventures,” the comment read. See story

This type of crude, even violent public discourse may now be acceptable coming from the President of the United States, but it should still be unacceptable among educators. Those who are teaching our children, and who are leading important education reform efforts, should be held to the highest standards. Frost has no place on the State Board of Education.

  1. For some reason, I don’t think Shawn Frost would be a good choice for any post. His vocabulary is certainly not that of a well-educated, in-control individual. But, maybe times have changed. So sorry he put himself through four years of Hell (apparently) on the School Board.

  2. I’ve had several unpleasant exchanges with Frost on Twitter. He is vulgar and offensive in speech and manner. His ego walks in the door all by itself. I told him he shouldn’t have anything to do with children ..ever!!
