Create at Studio MA, 835 17th Street #106 in Vero Beach offers half day camps for ages 6 – 12.  Sewing Camp is June 11-15 and Art Camps are June 4-8; June 18-22 and June 25-29.  The cost is $35 per day.  Call 772-538-1989.

The Pelican Island Audubon Society is offering Summer Adventure Camp at the Audubon House, 195 9th Street, SE (Oslo Road).  Camps are from 9 am to 3 pm for ages 10 to 17 from June 11 through July 27.  The cost is $200 per week.  In addition Junior Audubon Guide Training for Teens (age 13-17) will be held from June 4 – 8 for $225.  Visit or call 772-567-3520.

The Environmental Learning Center’s Lagoon Island Summer Day Camp will run from June 4 through July 27 from 8:30 am to 4 pm for Pre-K through 8th grade.  Activities include pond dip-netting, canoeing, mangrove forest exploration and pontoon boat trips.  Visit for registration & information.

The  City of Vero Beach Recreation Department offers Aerial Antics Circus Summer Camps from June 4 – August 3 at Leisure Square for ages 6-12 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Campers will perform in the 44th Annual Aerial Antics Youth Circus titled “It’s Time to Inspire” on August 2, 3 and 4 at Saint Edward’s School.  Visit, call 770-6500 or stop by Leisure Square for more information.

The  Youth Sailing Foundation of Indian River County is holding one week Summer Sailing Camps during June & July for ages 8 to 13 on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm. The cost is $275 per week and includes T-shirt & daily lunch. St. Lucie County – The Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce will host four (4) separate, week-long children’s summer programs conducted by the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT). Give your children the best summer-ever! Each week-long camp culminates in a public performance, starring local children, complete with professionally designed scenery and costumes, from June 11 through July 27 The cost for each week-long program is $125 per child and is for children ages 6-18.

The Raw Space Gallery, 1795 Old Dixie Highway in Vero Beach presents a talk by artist Aric Attas, “Exploring the Wonders of the Universe through Photography, Video and Sound”  on Thursday, April 26 from  6:30 to 8:00 pm.


Main Street Vero Beach presents Downtown Friday on April 27 from 6 to 9 pm on 14th Avenue & 21 Street.   Enjoy music, food, drinks, kids’ activities, and support our local charity of the month. Free.


Howl At the Moon Experience at Riverside Theatre:  Featuring musicians Rob Volpe & Ken Gustafson  Friday & Saturday, April 27 & 28 with shows at 7:30 and 9:30 pm. 

Live in the Loop at Riverside Theatre: Free outdoor concerts with the theme Blues, Bourbon & BBQ with classic Rock & Roll & Blues bands, The Jacks Band on Friday and Oddyssey Band on Saturday.  Music starts at 6 pm.

Riverside Theater for Kids- James and the Giant Peach Jr.: April 27 & 28.  A delightfully musical adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure about a boy and his insect friends who take an amazing journey across the ocean.


The American Association of University Women presents “Work Smart Salary Negotiation” Workshop on Saturday, April 28 from 10 am to noon at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1590 27 Avenue in Vero Beach.  The cost is $25.  Visit to sign up.

The  Vero Beach Museum of Art is holding the Childrens Art Festival on Saturday, April 28 from 10 am to 3 pm.  There will be the Indian River County Juried Art Exhibition Awards, family art making activities, K through 5 school art displays, community entertainment and much more.  Admission is free!

The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County  is  hosting a job fair on Saturday, April 28 from 10 am to 2 pm. The Humane Society is hiring full and part-time staff for its Adoption Center, Animal Care Team, Outreach Team, Wellness Clinic and Thrift Shops. Bring resumes!


Sebastian Inlet State Park presents  St. John’s Wood, a five piece band that transports you back to the music of the 1960’s British invasion on Saturday, April 28 from 6 to 9 pm with music by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, The Zombies, The Animals, David Bowie and more. 

The Flametree Clay Art Gallery is holding a fundraiser for Indian River Animal Advocates on Friday, April 27 from 6 to 9 pm.  The guest is Dr. Sara of IRAA. Her non-profit supports the TNR (trap – neuter – release) solution to our community’s stray animals.


On Sunday, April 29 the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach will celebrate Kirkin’ O’ the Tartans worship services at 9 am and 11 am in the church sanctuary. Enjoy performances by local Scottish pipe band, the Vero Beach Pipes and Drums. Guests are invited to wear plaid!

The First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach presents  Christoph Seybold, on Violin and Jacob Craig on Piano on Sunday, April 29 at 4 pm (date correction).  The concert is open to the community; a suggested donation of $10 will be accepted at the door.

The Community Church of Vero Beach’s Concert Series presents an Organ Concert with Vincent Warnier on Sunday, April 29 at 4 pm.  Mr. Warnier will present a concert of Bach, Franck, Widor, Duruflé and his own improvisatory skill.  A suggested free will offering of $10 will be gratefully accepted.



The Cultural Council invites you to attend the 22nd Annual Laurel Award Celebration, 6:00  pm on Wednesday, May 16 at Riverside Theatre. Enjoy a VIP Cocktail reception, a 90 minute performing arts program on the Stark Stage by members of the Cultural Council, followed by dessert and champagne toast to the Laurel Award Honorees.
