NETWORK FOR THE ARTS IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY

The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance invites the arts and cultural community for an informal networking  Midsummer Mixer on Thursday, July 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Artists, creative professionals, cultural organizations, arts-related businesses, community leaders, and arts supporters are all invited to mix and mingle to network and collaborate.  Light hors d’oeuvres and cash bar available. The mixer will be held at Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, 2410 SE Westmoreland Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.

BRING A FURRY FRIEND HOME THIS WEEKEND

The  Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County  will be holding a Clear the Shelter event on Friday, July 27, Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 from 11:00 am.-4:00 pm.  Adoption fees will be half off. HSVB currently has many wonderful animals needing new homes including dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, rabbits, potbelly pigs, guinea pigs and birds. Animals will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed and receive age-appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. Exciting adopter raffle prizes will also be awarded throughout the weekend. FAMILY FUN AT THE HERITAGE CENTER

The Heritage Center, sponsored by Inside Track Almanac, invites you to Be our Guest!, a free, indoor screening of the 2017 live-action version of Beauty and the Beast and party on Saturday, July 28 from 2  pm to 5  pm. Leading up to show time there will be face painting, sidewalk chalk, story time and a children’s book swap. (Be sure to bring your own well-read books to exchange.)  Best of all, thanks to actors from Vero Beach High School, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and Belle will all be here, at the Heritage Center prior to showing the movie.  The Indian River Citrus Museum will open at 1:30. The party begins at 2 pm and the movie starts promptly at 3 pm.

DEVOURING DOWNTOWN FOODIE TOUR!

Main Street Vero Beach is hosting Devouring Downtown Foodie Tour on Wednesday August 1 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.  Walk about a mile in downtown Vero Beach to enjoy a sampling of local food & beverages prepared especially for this event. 44TH ANNUAL AERIAL ANTICS YOUTH CIRCUS

Join the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department on August 2, 3 and 4 at Saint Edward’s School as we highlight the amazing kids in our community! The Aerial Antics Youth Circus is a unique gymnastics, dance and circus aerial production that features over 250 students (ages 3 – 25) enrolled in the gymnastics and performing arts classes and the Aerial Antics summer camp held at Leisure Square.  This year’s theme is It’s Time to Inspire.  Performances start at 7 pm at Saint Edward’s School. Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for children and seniors. Tickets will be available to purchase beginning June 4th at Leisure Square and Riverside Racquet Complex. SAVE THE DATES: A BOND UNBROKEN  & SUMMERFEST

On Wednesday, August 8 from 5:30 to 8 pm at the Heritage Center, support the Next Generation Veterans and the Cultural Council as they pay tribute to Vietnam War Veterans.  Clips from the documentary, A Bond Unbroken, will be shown as well as Vietnam-themed artwork by local artists that will be auctioned.  There will be light appetizers and a cash bar.  Tickets ($45) are available at the Cultural Council office and at www.cultural-council.org and Flametree Clay Galley or at the door. All Vietnam Veterans are invited as guests (complimentary).

The Cultural Council of Indian River County proudly sponsors the return of the Summerfest Chamber Orchestra on Sunday, August 12 at 3:00 pm, at Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church, 3755 Highway A1A in Vero Beach, the Summerfest Chamber Orchestra of the Symphony of the Americas will return to Vero Beach with another wonderful Summerfest performance.  Tickets are $35 and are available at the Cultural Council office, 772-770-4857, or online at cultural-council.org.
