Internationally acclaimed pianist, Rich Ridenour, joins forces with Maestro Christopher Confessore and the Brevard Symphony Orchestra for its Annual Pops Concert, a marvelously entertaining evening of music from the movies. The program, “Great Movies—Grand Piano”, features Mr. Ridenour at the Steinway along with the masterful orchestrations of the Brevard Symphony, taking us on a nostalgic trip to the movies through the wonderful music and themes that we’ve always loved. The film scores of Hollywood’s master composers are truly an American musical treasure—composers such as John Williams, Henry Mancini, John Barry, and even the king of ragtime, Scott Joplin—and will include such memorable films as The Sting, The Pink Panther, Forrest Gump, Somewhere in Time, Exodus, The Lord of the Rings, Superman and more.
Critics hail Rich Ridenour as “amazingly versatile, masterfully musical, and wickedly funny!” With hundreds of engagements to his credit, Mr. Ridenour has collaborated with renowned performers such as Martin Short, Carol Lawrence, Robert Guillaume, Smokey Robinson, and Jim Nabors to name but a few.
