Indian River Community Foundation presented the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation $20,000, a gift from anonymous donor.“We are so honored to be recognized with this generous gift,” remarked Marie Stiefel, President of LRJF.“As many may be aware, we have a significant and urgent need to fund the relocation and preservation of the Laura Riding Jackson Historic Florida-cracker-style house as it makes the move to its new home on the campus of Indian River State College, Mueller Campus .It’s place near the Brackett Library, will allow many more residents to visit” Stiefel continued.This gift from anonymous donor through the Indian River Community Foundation is very much appreciated.
LRJF has embarked on a “Let’s Move It’ campaign initiative asking the community to get involved and support the 12 mile journey which will cost over $300,000.Sponsorship begins with $5 a foot and extends to the “Miler Club” Relocation plans are moving a fast clip. This wonderful gift of $20,000 is being matched through a previous grant from the Indian River Community Foundation.Each dollar that is donated up to $50,000 will be matched . Consequently, every dollar donated is doubled under this program.
