BACKUS BINGO ON FRIDAY
The annual Backus Bingo luncheon will be held on Friday, June 7 from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm at the Pelican Yacht Club, 1120 Seaway Drive in Fort Pierce to benefit the Backus Museum & Gallery. The Sunset Saturday Night Free Concert Series sponsored by the Oceanside Business Association presents Cinda & The Studio Guys performing on Saturday June 8 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The band performs hits from Fleetwood Mac to Pat Benetar to Train, Martina McBride and Heart, on Ocean Drive at Humiston Park. Free.
The Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan 2019 will perform at Temple Beth Shalom, 365 43rd Avenue in Vero Beach, at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 8. The Friendship Caravan is a group of highly talented Israeli youth to perform an energetic and patriotic display of goodwill and friendship between countries. Performing songs in both Hebrew and English, the Scouts bring smiles to the faces of audiences of all ages, cultures and religions. In addition to their lively show, the Caravan members enjoy speaking with their American audiences about life in Israel and discussing what it is like to be an Israeli teenager. There will be a reception with light refreshments following the performance. Advance tickets are recommended and are available for $10 in the Temple office (772) 569-4700. On Sunday, June 9 at 4 pm the First Presbyterian Church will offer an exciting concert in honor of Jacob Craig, Director of Music and Arts, as he prepares to travel to England this summer to complete his Doctorate of Sacred Music with post-doc study at Oxford University. All are invited to participate in this one-of-a-kind concert. A love offering will be accepted in order to assist Jacob in defraying the costs of this special experience.
