NEWS RELEASE
The Mental Health Collaborative is pleased to introduce Mental Health First Aid to our community. This international, evidenced -based program teaches people how to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance use disorders. Over 1.7 million people have been trained in the United States to date. We believe this program will have a significant impact on reducing stigma and advancing the conversations around mental health issues. I would like to expand the scope of people being certified in this curriculum to include civic leaders, such as yourself, so you can see the value of Mental Health First Aid and become an advocate.
We will be conducting this training on Friday September 6, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the Community Room at Northern Trust Bank 755 Beachland Blvd. Vero Beach, FL 32963. Lunch and all materials will be provided.
We are only able to accommodate 30 participants. Please RSVP to this e-mail. Also, please invite any community leaders you feel would be interested in attending this training.
