IndianRiverLagoon by May Brandt.

Born and raised in New York State, May Brandt loved making art from a very young age.  She received her Bachelor of Art from Stanford University. She then married, had two children, and lived all over the country. After moving back to upstate New York, May completed a Master of Fine Arts degree from SUNY Albany. She then taught drawing for 20 years at the Sage Colleges of Albany, NY.  Her paintings, at the time, consisted mostly of still lives with a particular attention to lighting and the surfaces of ordinary animate and inanimate objects, showing the special charm in ordinary things. May has shown and won awards in numerous juried shows, most recently at the “Art by the Sea” exhibition at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, the Artists Guild Gallery and at the Environmental Learning Center.  Since moving to Florida in 2010, she has been lured outside by the lush Florida landscape and enjoys painting “en plein air”. Particularly drawn to Florida skies and water and the way light transforms everyday life, May likes to find those little moments we might ignore and make them memorable.

Sails in the Bay by Karin Delagi.

Karin Delagi was born in the lush countryside of Franconia, Germany. Even as a child she had great admiration for the beauty of nature. The urge of “holding onto the moment” was always present and she would try to transform that on paper when and wherever she could. In school, art was one of her favorite subjects. Karin never stopped expressing her feelings on silk, paper, on canvas and in clay. She had the opportunity to learn and progress in art by studying with renowned artists. She studied watercolor through the teachings of artist Ginger-Sebeck at the Foosaner Art Museum in Melbourne, Florida; with Spanish artist Maria de Rosario-Edrich, watercolor and Acrylic while living in Germany. Also, in Acrylic with the Dutch master artist and sculptor Frits van Eeden. He’s still one of her critics. She loves Dali and is inspired by Kandinsky, Picasso, an Klimt.  Her work has been on display in Germany and Florida including several galleries, medical facilities, Brevard Government Center, and other local businesses.

“Morning Rise” by Lisa Rose.

Lisa Rose studied Design and Environmental Analysis at Cornell University and enjoyed a career of over 30 years as a residential Interior Designer.  She gained national attention with features in prestigious publications including House Beautiful, House Beautiful Home Decorating, Florida Design, Interior Design, Maison Française, and Cosmopolitan. Lisa was recently introduced to pastels and acrylics as art mediums, and became inspired by the beauty of the natural landscape.  This led to the creation of her first pieces with a delicate blend of representational art, and a bit of abstraction. Her originals can be viewed at
