The Vero Beach Museum of Art and the Indian River County Library System is pleased to announce a joint partnership to provide free exhibition admission with the Library Museum Pass Program which begins October 1, 2019.
This initiative allows the community the opportunity to visit the VBMA for free by checking out a Library Museum Pass from ALL branches of the IRC Library System. The pass provides library cardholders free admission for two adults – children under 17 already receive free admission – to the museum.
“This initiative is something many public libraries offer their patrons, and we are delighted to be working with the VBMA on this project. It is a great way for the Library to continue to deliver free and open access to services and resources to our community.
The program is open to all Indian River County residents with a library card in good standing and can be checked out in person at the circulation desk for the period of one week from any of the branches named above. The passes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.” Comments Tracey Wehking, Director of Library Services at Indian River County Library.
Sophie Bentham-Wood, Director of Marketing and Communications, said, “The idea presented itself through a VBMA staff training program and was an initiative we felt strongly needed to be activated. The library was happy to partner with us, and over the summer, we worked through the logistics to launch this fall with the opening of L’Affichomania: The Passion for French Posters on October 19th.”
