NEWS RELEASE
Join us at the Vero Beach Museum of Art for our annual Holidays at the Museum event for the enjoyment of families and children of the community. The event, to be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 1 pm to 4 pm throughout the Museum, is inspired by the exhibition L’Affichomania: The Passion for French Posters and offers young people and their families an admission-free cultural day of activities.
Visitors will enjoy free admission to the current exhibition with docents in the galleries playing fun gallery games themed around artworks on display. There will be an art treasure hunt in the Beckwith Sculpture Park and the chance to get creative in the studios making festive decorations and ornaments, as well as easel painting. A 10ft Eiffel Tower built of cardboard tubes and popsicle sticks will be a marvelous engineering feat akin to the original, and free live school/student music and dance performances will be scheduled throughout the day for visitors to enjoy.
Lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be available for purchase at The Museum Café Catering by Wood n Spoon in the Laura and Bill Buck Atrium, and outside a Kona Ice Truck will be serving snow cones for purchase.
2019 Entertainment includes:
Osceola Singers, Beachland (Elementary) “Little Sharks” Singers, Studio C Dancers, Vero Beach Karate Association, Vero Classical Ballet, Imagine South Vero Tangerines, and Rosewood Magnet “Panther Performers”
The Museum will be open for free from 10 am with the holiday event activities starting at 1 pm.
